I Swear got released on Friday and what many people may not realise is, there are only 4 words of ADR in the whole film. I wrote a bit about the dialogue edit in case any soundies find it interesting (or not)
This beautiful film gets released today and I would encourage anyone who can, to please go watch it. It is without doubt my proudest dialogue editing credit to date. grateful to have worked alongside the brilliant sound team of Simon Hayes, Dan Johnson,Niv Adiri and Joe De-Vine

This week, Creative Diversity Network (CDN) released their latest Diamond report on diversity within the industry. I won’t be sharing it because unfortunately the data in the report is still massively flawed when it comes to post production.
This is definitely a bit of a career highlight. It’s been great fun providing all the post production sound work on this film and it’s now premiering at Edinburgh International Film Festival as the closing film. But more importantly I am so massively proud of my mate Paul Sng

Yes, let’s waste money on an e-learning series (that is aimed at everyone BUT post production professionals) instead of investing in proper training and support for post talent while so many people are out of work. that makes sense

Anyone else find the term “below the line” highly offensive when used about their job title?
It always felt to me like it belittled and undervalued our contribution to the TV and Film industry.
Maybe it’s just me though….
Pay your freelancers on time, we need to protect and support freelancers right now, not make life harder for them.
