Yesterday I was screamed at by 1000s of people for saying:
✅ We should talk to moderate Republicans more
✅ Trans women acting like sex criminals is bad
✅ The rapes of October 7th should be condemned.
My mentions have been on fire for months now for lukewarm statements like these, and some people have said I should log off. But, I am crystal clear about what I'm saying and doing. I'm not angry, or upset, or acting emotionally. I am making a moral stand.
I will always believe in the policies of the left. But there is a cancer in our movement we need to something about. It is insanity that any of this is controversial, let alone you get death threats and online abuse for saying so.
I'm not scared of any of you. You have no power over me whatsoever.

Seeing lots of discourse on here about the rents at this project. Going to drop this bit from @TedLott a few months back: “there is no doubt that we need more homes. And, we need those homes as soon as possible. All kinds. All types. All places.”

New: Detroit's most expensive apartment development — with studios renting at nearly $2,300 — is opening its doors to tenants this week. Developers aren't commenting on leasing activity, but signs show that roughly 1/3 of units have leased. crainsdetroit.com/real-estat…

Monetary revolutions often happen when monetary systems are too restrictive. That's where crypto is coming from not too much money printing. It's same w/Euro$ which showed up because of Triffin's Paradox, global $ shortage.

I recently heard the term "Industrial Left" being used to distinguish between the pragmatic politics arising from a familiarity with how things are built, grown and powered in our society vs. the la la land "New Left" of the academic commentariat whose comical climate policy proposals arise out of a profound ignorance of the built world and how it is engineered.
I think it's a useful distinction.

Fuck nihilism.
I'm in the trenches every day both commercially and on the Hill.
I know how bad it is.
And yet I find faith - every day - because we are Americans.
It was bad after the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, WW1 and 2, Vietnam, etc.
Yet here we are.

You look at that picture and reach that conclusion? That building is a monument to our decline. We couldn't even summon the unity and national will to rebuild what we lost. People actually talked about not rebuilding out of fear that the rebuilt towers would be targets.

Unsolicited advice after listening to a commodity bull… if your hypothesis contains the phrase “the world is running out of” you’re going to lose long term. You can trade scarcity, you can invest to solve scarcity, but you can’t invest in preserving scarcity except by lobbying.

You can’t have our water but you are welcome to move here to join us in Michigan! I will fight like hell (legislatively) to protect that our water. In fact, I already have a bill to put our Michigan water into the public trust. #Michigan #GreatLakes

The fact that more people will tune in to listen to this week's FOMC meeting even though they've never listened to or read an earnings release from the companies they hold in their own portfolios tells you everything you need to know about today's markets.

Bravo Madi. Bravo.
@joerogan, after Madi and @JacobShap get together to do their pod on Nuclear and Geopolitics, you should bring them on to have a deeper and wider-ranging convo on your pod.
A lot needs to be set straight after this latest interview with Peter.
It’s disappointing to see @PeterZeihan pull the same old ‘I’m pro-nuclear BUT’ schtick on Joe Rogan.
Let’s put these anti-nuclear myths to bed and clear the record:
