In London, we’re proud of our East and Southeast Asian communities and their long history in our city. I’m excited that Londoners can now learn more about ESEA heritage and culture with @besea_n’s first-ever ESEA Heritage Month. Full programme of events below👇🏾 #ESEAHM2021

I've got to put this on my list, thanks Natalie💖
Cathy Park Hong weaves in parts of Asian history, her childhood, complicated friendships and even more complicated Asian identity (plus sooo much more) I know for sure that this is a book I will be revisiting over and over again 📚💛

I actually felt this when I first started working in London (often claimed to be the melting pot of CüLtuR3) but the people I said it to didn't believe me. Very glad I've somehow found a little space online for this.

I started my podcast because I found these communities are underrepresented in the UK media and leadership. BUT there are lots of incredible stories that we should know about! I want to see my Asian fam come together and stepping up💗💗💗

Cantonese speaker here! Easiest way i can think of to explain this is comparing it to fried foods - basically anything that makes the inside of your mouth dry up when you eat a lot of it. Then again, lychee also counts as 熱氣, so hmm...

I would say it's an internal imbalance you feel, too 'hot' and 'dry' from not resting enough and too much fried food 😅

You were amazing, Natalie!! I really enjoyed listening to your talk, and I loved how you finished it with the point that not everyone has to be scientists or engineers. But we should definitely appreciate STEM skills because they are transferrable in everyday life🙌❤️

I follow the @YellowBeePod which has some great discussions about being East Asian in Britain. Sometimes identities are not defined by a passport. #SAWAYAMAISBRITISH

This 😂 my brother and I just had the exact same stuff. Everyone literally just bought two of the same thing for us. I remember when we got the same lunchbox (101 Dalmatians because Andy loved them) and I was so upset, I scratched a mark on mine to make it different 😅😅

Plz go on TrueAsianTest.com and comment your score below 🥴 I need someone to make me feel better about my rubbish score! I checked off only 30 of the 88 listed "Asian Traits" (~34% which is definitely a FAIL)
