I know a polycab distributor, who was giving almost 1cr of business to the company in a year. Now, he switched to other company's products.
Polycab, a company worth ₹1,24,484 crores, has been dragged into insolvency.
The stock has been barred from being traded in derivatives (F&O) w.e.f. Dec 30.
It was dragged into an IBC proceeding just because of a ₹2.79 crore due to a vendor.
The news got out today and the company lost ₹1,735 crores' worth of market cap.
It is a good lesson for big companies who ill-treat their vendors.
