I think there is a lot to take away from this article, even for non-Newyorkers, but my main one is this:
"The answer, ..., is not to repeat the mistakes of the past, anoint a dominant transportation mode, and design everything from our legal system to our roads around that mode."
"It is, in fact, a similar problem to the one cars had in the early 20th century when roads were designed for horses.."
This is the core problem. We need to evolve our infrastructure to support transformation in mobility.

You may have noticed by this point that we haven’t been running time-based promotions, even for major retail holidays like Black Friday. In fact, we don’t have a coupon or promo field on our website at all. (1/5)

Dear @elonmusk, please, please, please stop your nonsensical comments about a situation you seem to have limited understanding of.
Your words matter. You have influence and power. Please use it wisely. Your current language is not helpful. The war in Ukraine is real.

We say we don't have a dress code in tech and we pretend to have an inclusive culture but in fact we do and this dress code and culture disproportionately affects women.

lol. The self-fulfilling prophecy is complete.
Nobody bought Stadia because they assumed Google would kill it, and Google is forced to kill Stadia because it's unpopular.
Google's reputation for killing services killed a service,. I'm not sure how the company ever fixes that.
