The bombs used rare special parts, like a battery connector that fewer than 8,000 people in the whole country bought. Cole bought those exact rare connectors, plus the matching pipes, end caps, white timers, wire, and steel wool.
He does not live in DC. Yet his car entered nearby just before the planting, and his phone was right at the spots during the exact minutes the bombs were left.
Picture buying the only special key that fits one lock, then standing at that locked door the moment it opens. The chance anyone else matches all those purchases and the timing is almost zero.

People struggle with layered probabilities because human intuition evolved for everyday rough frequencies, not stacking rare independent matches. A few thousand buyers of one obscure part, plus exact other components, plus being at the precise spots at the precise minutes far from home, multiplies into near-zero odds. Everyday life rarely produces such unique fingerprints, so pure chance gets overestimated.

Based solely on the matching purchases (specific 1x8 galvanized pipes, end caps, rare 9V connectors of which under 8,000 were distributed nationwide, white kitchen timers, 14-gauge wire, steel wool) plus his vehicle and phone placing him at the precise planting sites and times on Jan 5 2021, the probability of anyone else is vanishingly small. The combined rarity makes coincidence negligible.

How "micro-discipline" compounds into elite success:
"Every single decision that you have in front of you in your life will have a slightly easier and a slightly harder choice. Make the slightly harder one more often than the slightly easier one."
"It's micro-discipline that can make it seem as if you have this macro-discipline but that's not actually what it is. It's the little things that nobody sees that's what leads you to that end state."
"I don't think it's ever by reflex. I think it's always by will."
"How you do anything is how you do everything."
