My latest on the Iranian threat to the Strait of Hormuz in @ForeignAffairs
foreignaffairs.com/iran/horm…
Which may be true, but may be an effort to paint U.S. an aggressor in case of war. Statements from U.S. and Iran are seeking multiple ends: demonstrate resolve, signal diplomatic positions, conceal intentions to act, and win global support, and can’t just be taken at face value.
Another pathway for this to escalate is the closer we get to a certainty the United States is going to strike, the stronger the incentives for Iran to launch a preemptive attack to get as many missiles off and cause as much damage as it can before the launchers are suppressed.

Siblings Woody & Clover have been back with us for a while. Through no fault of their own, their adoption did not work out. They are playful & sweet, and would make a home of their own a very happy one! Please give them a chance! #AdoptDontShop #Buckinghamshire #WhiskersWednesday

😺😺Where are all you Tuxie cat lovers at?😺😺
Meet Woody, approximately 1 - 2 years old
Woody can be a little shy & nervous to begin with &, because of this, he will be overlooked by many potential adopters
With the right person, who sees beyond his initial nerves, he has every chance of thriving
With patience, kindness & a gentle approach he will slowly learn to trust & will reward his new owner(s) with the joy of seeing him grow in confidence
Woody needs someone who can offer him time, understanding & love. Could you be the one to give him the fresh start he is waiting for?
🏡If you think you can offer Woody the right home, please complete the application form by following the link below👇 Don't forget to put his name on the form👇

🏔This boy deserves all the love & shares after being abandoned at the top of a mountain🏔
Meet Merlin, approximately 3 to 4 years old. A truly special soul despite a rough start
💔Merlin was abandoned at the top of a mountain, left to fend for himself. There is no way he could have got where he was on his own. Thankfully, some kind walkers found him & brought him down to safety💔
Since then, he’s shown nothing but warmth & gratitude. A friendly, affectionate lad who just wants to be loved & feel secure again
Merlin is now ready to find a forever home where he can continue to thrive
He’s a gentle & social boy who enjoys human company. He would fit beautifully into a home where he’s treated as part of the family
After being let down so badly by his previous human(s), he deserves a second chance with someone who will never give up on him
If you’re looking for a loyal companion with lots of love to give, Merlin could be your perfect match
🏡If you think you can offer Merlin the right home, please complete the application form by following the link below👇 Don't forget to put his name on the form👇

Can you please share to help these beautiful cats find a home, all details below.
Oscar and Bella are both 5 and 3 years old. They are outdoor cats and looking for a new home together.
Oscar and Bella are both chipped and spayed/neutered.
They would be best in a home with no other pets or young children.
Oscar and Bella can be left on their own and they eat wet and dry cat food.
Bella likes to play with toys while Oscar will play with a laser or mouse game.
They sleep on their beds, owners bed or their cat tree.
Oscar and Bella are use to a litter tray.
Both are up to date with vaccinations.
They’d be great companion pets for someone who can provide them access to the outdoors.
For more information or to offer a new home please email [email protected]

🌼 Meet Dandelion — Waiting Patiently for Her Forever 🌼
Since May 2025, sweet Dandelion has been quietly waiting for the home she so deeply deserves. While kittens have come and gone, this gentle girl who raised her babies in our care has remained behind — not because she lacks charm, but because she is the kind of cat whose love blooms slowly and beautifully.
Dandelion is a soft, sweet, and gentle soul. She enjoys being near her people, soaking up calm companionship, and spending peaceful moments watching the world go by from a sunny window. Birds, squirrels, falling leaves — she finds joy in the little things.
She gets along well with other cats and would be happy to have a friendly feline companion. Dandelion can also live with a dog, as long as the dog is calm, respectful, and willing to give her space. In her foster home, she shares her days comfortably with a kind, cat-savvy child (around 8–10 years old), proving she’s wonderful with gentle kids who understand feline boundaries.
Dandelion isn’t loud or demanding. She doesn’t rush to be the center of attention — instead, she offers a quiet, steady presence that makes a house feel like home. She’s the cat who will sit beside you, keep you company, and make your days feel softer just by being there.
🌿 Dandelion’s Perfect Home:
• A calm, loving household
• Friendly cats (optional but welcome)
• A chill, respectful dog is okay
• Gentle children who love animals
• Someone who values quiet companionship
This sweet girl was a wonderful mom, and now it’s finally her turn to be chosen. Dandelion has been waiting patiently — hoping that someone will see her not as “just another cat,” but as the loving companion she truly is.
🌼 Could you be the one to let Dandelion finally bloom? 🌼
