Is this a late April Fool? This would make it very difficult if not impossible to support Rust on @CompileExplore : we use the language icon as a button in places, we use the name in a helpful domain name (rust.godbolt.org), and it's of course mentioned in our codebase too

From just a backend engineer's perspective, I'm always impressed by QA people's work. They are knowledgeable about products and architecture, and triage the issues efficiently. Appreciate their amazing work, kudos for folks who are QA engineers here too👏👏👏

I’m looking to install some led strip lighting on some shelves. Loads of options out there. Interested in recommendations from y’all. Have you done it on a set of wall shelves? What did you use?

Psst. I'm available for short term tech writing and editing work. I can make useful, beautiful documentation and samples for you- for anything from web APIs, code libraries, to hardware. If developers use it, I can document it. Reach me at [email protected] 😉

I don't say this lightly: if it's against your religion for people to protect themselves and others from HIV, you need to find a new religion.
BREAKING: US District Judge Reed O’Connor in Texas rules that requiring employers to provide coverage for PrEP drugs (preventing the transmission of HIV) violates the religious rights of employers under federal law (RFRA).
my printer just spontaneously printed a document that i tried (and failed) to print FIVE DAYS AGO. I haven’t touched the printer in days.

The VC model almost *requires* that you set people on fire to grow fast enough to meet their goals. It leads to churn, it leads to cut corners, and it leads to 10x returns for the VCs. No wonder they talk about how important it is! It's great -- for them.

Pushing people into redline territory until their brains catch fire and they leave tech is totally unsustainable for the individuals but works GREAT for VCs, who have managed to find a continuous supply of fresh meat.

Holding down shift while you right-click in Firefox will always show the normal right-click menu! (And if that doesn't work, let me know. 🙂)

The appalled movie industry reaction to Batgirl's cancellation should be a reminder that what game devs go through - working for years on projects that wilt in the dark and can never be spoken about publicly - is not normal.
