I've found that half of writing is figuring out ways to gaslight yourself to be yourself.

recently found out about the scribble font in ellipsus and it’s great for sprinting/getting ideas out without making edits

Writing is an endless experiment. Take risks, write wild, and let yourself be a hot mess—it’s the only way to grow! 🌱🌱
1) ‼️‼️ A TOOL FOR WRITERS WHO DON'T USE AI ‼️‼️ 👀
Show off your human writing progress and the work that went into drafting your book by turning your words into a graph: Ellipsus's brand new Emboss feature is here and it's now FREE for all writers around the world! 🥰🫶💕🧵⤵️

Let’s face it, being a writer these days can feel a little scary. AI slopification, ominous algos… the sense that creative work is being sucked into a vast netherverse and spat back out to feed the slop machine.
In this uncanny valley, how can human writers show the world that their work is their own, without leaving it up to black-box verifiers, or pure suspicion, to decide what counts as human?
This spooky season, one writer falls down the rabbit hole into a dark world, but soon stumbles upon a source of hope…
Introducing Ellipsus Emboss, a short film.

If it must be said: Ellipsus Would Not Do This. 💀

The world does not need an artificial intelligence that diminishes humanity; rather, it needs human intelligence enlightened by wisdom, political authority guided by conscience and technological innovation directed by charity. Only then will artificial intelligence become not a rival to humanity but a servant of the common good.

Looking for some contract work. If you have anything going. I have to pay the bills as I work to get projects like @AutomicVault towards COSS status.
Creator of Homebrew and that!

What the hell must I do?
Artists just want a place online where platforms don't feed their work to AI. So I built Cara. But people just won't leave us alone.
The laws don't help us, the governments don't help us. What are artists supposed to do exactly? 1/

A gentle reminder that Ellipsus will NEVER feed your writing to an LLM. We do not surveil your work and we will never introduce gen-AI into the tool.
AI has no place in human writing.
“The dev behind Klub Kofta Studio told Polygon that the character's name was only in a singular Google Doc file. ‘I'd like to clarify that the specific character name is not in the [game] files at all, and I have certainly never mentioned it to an AI before.’”
Google acting hella shady… what else is new?
Sketchy incidents like this have occurred one too many times.
Insisting on their privacy policy around won’t cut it: bringing in AI was the beginning of the end. It’s just not safe.
(But Google’s not worried, they’ll just pay the fine 🙄)

AI verifiers are no friends to writers. They were built from the same stolen work as every other generative AI model out there… and the damage to authors is REAL. A beefy 🧵👇
