🚨 EXCLUSIVE INVESTIGATION: SMITH COUNTY, TEXAS - I’m Going to Name Names.
🚨It’s time for Smith County to be Exposed.
A FULL THREAD 🧵
I have spent weeks reviewing the record, court filings, personnel histories, reading over what is available via body-cam, and interviewing people with firsthand knowledge of the Smith County Sheriff’s Office. What I found is much bigger than one deputy or one shooting.
Former employees and officers have confirmed to me that the corruption inside this office has been going on for years, and some of them told me they left because of it. This thread is about Sheriff Larry Smith, Deputy Braylon Barnes, the killing of Jonathan Layton, and the pattern of conduct that people inside the system say has been allowed to continue for far too long.

🚨 I RECEIVED THIS PRIVATE MESSAGE ON LINKEDIN FROM A VP AT A FORTUNE 500 COMPANY.
They asked me to remove their name and company, but gave me permission to share what they described.
They describe:
1. H-1B employees getting onto interview panels and rejecting qualified American candidates in favor of preferred candidates.
2. Interview questions and confidential hiring information being passed to friends or associates before interviews.
3. Interviewers receiving commissions or kickbacks when preferred candidates are hired, including payments connected to staffing vendors.
4. Once hired, favored employees receiving better assignments, visibility and promotion opportunities.
5. American workers being given unrealistic deadlines, criticized, marginalized and eventually pressured to resign.
Their words for what happens inside the company:
“This is called systemic pressure.”
Then they describe a second type of “syndicate.”
According to the source, managers and their subordinates become partners in grocery stores and restaurants, particularly around Dallas and Austin. They rotate responsibilities so one of them is always at the business, creating another source of income outside their corporate jobs.
We’re constantly told H-1B is about hiring the “best and brightest” and the “most qualified.”
But what if the American candidate never had a fair shot in the first place?
I’ve heard versions of this story far too many times.
If you’ve personally witnessed it, DM me here or on LinkedIn.
Send receipts if you have them. Your identity and employer will remain confidential.

Hey @glangley — I was the head of design for connected devices at Axon when we did the deal with @Flock_Safety.
What you may not know is that our CEO, Rick Smith had met with Vigilant, the ALPR leader at the time.
During the demo, their team pulled up a random Axon employee’s car from the parking lot and showed the Axon leadership everywhere that car had been.
I wasn’t in the meeting, but I’m told Rick immediately kicked them out of the Scottsdale office.
You can make a good case for officers (hell, even politicians) wearing body cams because it empowers citizens to watch the watchers.
Flock offers no such benefit.
You’ll likely justify the surveillance state you’re helping create with platitudes of a “safer society”.
But America wasn’t founded to be safe.
America was founded to be FREE.
Flock is much more compatible with totalitarian countries like China or the UK, and I wish you great success there.
As Benjamin Franklin famously summarized America’s ethos of rugged individualism:
"Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."
Now kindly get the flock out of America.

**California owes the federal government roughly $21.7 billion** in outstanding advances (loans) from the federal Unemployment Trust Fund under Title XII of the Social Security Act, according to the state's own May 2026 UI Fund Forecast from the Employment Development Department (EDD).
- End of 2024: $21.6 billion
- End of 2025: $21.7 billion
- Projected end of 2026: $22.0 billion
California is the **only state** with an outstanding federal UI loan balance. This has triggered ongoing FUTA credit reductions, forcing California employers to pay higher federal unemployment taxes (hundreds of millions extra per year) to help repay the debt. Interest continues to accrue until the principal is paid off.
This stems from massive borrowing during the pandemic when the state UI fund went insolvent in 2020.

Sir, I have some expertise in Senate rules and precedent. In fact, at one time you were one of a dozen senators who paid me for that.
The talking filibuster will work.
Senators who refuse to do this to pass the SAVE America Act are the ones demoralizing their own base.
I marvel at the keyboard warrior-geniuses and grifters who are ignorant of Senate rules and precedents who have miraculously become experts in its arcane rules. Promising the moon and stars and yet destining Republicans for failure is a very effective way to demoralize our base and elect more Democrats in the midterms.

Dear Federal Education and Civil Rights Leaders,
As responsibility for programs serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing students is reassigned within the federal government, I urge your agency to recognize that Deaf education is not simply a special education issue. It is fundamentally a civil rights issue involving language, communication, and equal access to education.
For many Deaf children, the greatest barrier is not hearing loss itself, but the lack of full access to language and communication. Hearing children acquire language naturally through constant exposure in their homes, schools, and communities. Many Deaf children do not receive that same access, particularly when educational programs prioritize speech development without ensuring that a child has a fully accessible language.
American Sign Language (ASL) is the natural language of the American Deaf community and is the only fully accessible language available to many Deaf children. While various signed systems exist to represent English, they are not languages in their own right and often depend upon proficiency in spoken English. For many Deaf students, ASL provides the direct, complete, and accessible language foundation necessary for cognitive, social, emotional, and academic development.
Federal policy should recognize that language access means access to a complete language, not merely access to communication supports or manually coded versions of English.
I also urge your agency to recognize the important role of residential schools for the Deaf. Too often, residential placements are viewed as restrictive simply because they are separate from neighborhood schools. However, for many Deaf students, residential schools provide the least restrictive environment because they offer direct access to language, peers, teachers, role models, extracurricular activities, and school life without the constant communication barriers present in many mainstream settings.
A Deaf child who spends the school day relying on interpreters, struggling to follow group discussions, eating lunch alone, and lacking meaningful communication with peers may be physically included but educationally and socially isolated. In contrast, a residential school for the Deaf may provide direct communication throughout the day, opportunities for leadership, social belonging, and full participation in academic and extracurricular activities.
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act requires that placement decisions consider a child's language and communication needs. For Deaf students, this analysis should include:
• Access to a fully accessible language.
• Opportunities for direct communication with peers and staff.
• Social and emotional well-being.
• Academic achievement and language development.
• The student's ability to participate fully in school life.
Residential schools for the Deaf should not be treated as placements of last resort. For many students, they are the most appropriate educational environment and the setting most capable of providing meaningful access to education.
As federal responsibilities are transferred, I respectfully request that your agency:
1. Recognize language access as a civil right.
2. Protect the right of Deaf children to acquire and use American Sign Language when appropriate.
3. Ensure that educational programs are evaluated based on actual access and outcomes rather than placement labels.
4. Preserve strong enforcement of communication access requirements.
5. Support a full continuum of placement options, including residential schools for the Deaf.
6. Consider language deprivation and communication isolation as significant educational concerns.
7. Ensure that Deaf students have opportunities for direct communication, not merely mediated communication through interpreters or technology. (Cont.)

CALIFORNIA ELECTIONS FRAUD CASH FOR BALLOTS PART I: Homeless Bribed with Cash & Drugs In Exchange For Registering To Vote & Signing Election Petitions Caught On Tape Undercover On Skid Row In California.
“You can just put Pinocchio Lane.”
California NGOs Encourage Fake Addresses To Homeless People To Sign Petitions & Register Voters, A State & Federal Felony. Footage Shows 28 Instances Of Cash Changing Hands For Ballot Signatures & Voter Registration Forms. Many of the petitioners had no understanding of the petitions’ purpose they were advertising. Circulators also instructed individuals to use fake addresses. “Oh, you can just fake an address.”
Weingart Center, which received hundreds of millions in public funding, is on tape directing people to where the fraudulent petitioners are located, and directing homeless individuals to petitioners & coaching plausible deniability. “See they say ignorance is no excuse for the law. But a lot of times, I have to say ‘I didn’t know, I had no idea.’”
We encountered 28 instances of petitioners offering cash, cigarettes, and marijuana for signatures on petitions.
Weingart employees advised: “See they say ignorance is no excuse for the law. But a lot of times, I have to say ‘I didn’t know, I had no idea.’” All happening outside taxpayer-funded housing organizations. Weingart CEO earned $432,000 before resigning from the Los Angeles County Affordable Housing Solutions Agency.
James O’Keefe and the OMG Team went undercover on Skid Row, posing as homeless individuals. On hidden cameras, petitioners admitted they are paid $7–$10 per signature, sometimes earning $1,000 or more per day, collecting signatures from individuals with minimal knowledge of what they were signing.
“$7 a signature, $5 a signature, $10 a signature.”
“We gon’ give you $2.”
Populus Inc., a political consulting firm, was circulating petitions funded by @Uber, @Delta, @United, and the American Hotel & Lodging Association (@AHLA). On camera, one petitioner said, “We have one that taxes billionaires 5%. One-time tax. 5% and that’s gonna go towards healthcare.” Other petitions sought to overturn LA’s $30 minimum wage for hotel and airline workers.
Paying per signature and encouraging fake addresses violates federal and state election law and is proof of fraud happening in California.
Weingart employees were caught directing the homeless to the location of the petitioners and coaching them on plausible deniability. Intake coordinator Jason Warren told an undercover journalist exactly where and when to find them:
“Most time they be right across the street, under that tree… Monday through Friday.”
In 2016, nine individuals were arrested on Skid Row for exchanging cash and cigarettes for signatures; in 2019 they were charged on 14 counts under the exact same California Elections Code section.
Yet when confronted, nearby LAPD officers dismissed the activity as “a civil lawsuit.”
“Paying per signature violates state election law and is evidence of election fraud in California,” the investigation concludes. On Skid Row, we captured conduct on tape that violates Federal Law 52 U.S. Code §10307 and state law California Election Code §18603.
Part II coming soon.

Dear @WhiteHouse, my name is Rodney Smith Jr., founder of Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service in Huntsville, Alabama. Through our 50 Yard Challenge, over 6,000 kids across the country have signed up to mow free lawns for the elderly, disabled, veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and single parents. With America celebrating its 250th birthday this year and me also being born on July 4th, I wanted to humbly ask if a few kids from our program and myself could travel to Washington, D.C. to help mow the White House lawn for this historic celebration.
More than anything, I want these kids to see how a simple act of service something as ordinary as mowing a lawn for someone in need can lead to extraordinary places. What better lesson in community service than showing them that helping others can take them all the way to our nation’s capital? I’d also love to bring my American flag-themed mower in hopes that the President might sign it, so I can later auction it off and donate 100% of the proceeds to a nonprofit supporting veterans. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to highlight the importance of service, patriotism, and the impact young people can have when they choose to make a difference. 🇺🇸

Karen Bass just violated election law here. She is so accustomed to breaking the law with no accountability, she even filmed herself doing it. Well, those days are over. We just filed a formal complaint for illegally gaming the election. We must protect our democracy.
Electioneering within 100 feet of a ballot box is AGAINST THE LAW. Soliciting votes at a ballot box is AGAINST THE LAW. These clear violations show a reckless disregard for the rule of law and our democratic process. Someone in a position of power should be especially respectful of our democratic laws, but this is just emblematic of Karen's mafia-like regime. It's "rules for thee, but not for me".
Here is the formal complaint we filed this morning. We will uphold the rule of law and our democratic norms. Enjoy your conference calls with your lawyers, Karen!
You can drop off your ballot at voting centers and drop boxes throughout the city. Voting early is easy, even Babies for Bass agree!
