This morning Angela was out in Withington Village with Withington Civic Society. They had a productive session weeding tree pits, planters and outside Costa Coffee and Sainsbury’s. We love supporting our local groups to keep the area looking clean and tidy all year round. ❤️ ♻️

We’re so excited for this year’s @WithingtonPride! It’s on Saturday 20 September from 11am to 3am. There’ll be activities for all ages, from stalls and crafts, to live performances. We’re looking forward to seeing the whole community come together to enjoy the day! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️❤️

This morning Angela was out with Ladybarn Litter Pickers. Lots of rubbish collected, and even more positive comments from local residents who really appreciate the hard work we do for the community. ♻️ ❤️

We were out today with @GMPFallowfield for speedwatch around Fairholme Road. Residents joined us to discuss concerns, and GMP pulled over a number of motorists. 👮🏼‍♂️ 🚘 We will do more speedwatch in the coming months, and will keep lobbying the Council for action on road safety.

As part of the Summer Reading Challenge @LadybarnFriends host this event on Tuesday 19 August - open to everyone to attend! 🌳 📚

We had a fantastic time today at the @HubLadybarn Green Summer Fair. There were loads of local residents there, enjoying activities for all ages. Thanks to everyone involved in making today happen. The Hub is a vital community asset, one we’re proud to support. ❤️

Throughout August, @BeeNetwork are lifting the 9.30am rule on older and disabled people’s bus passes. They’ll analyse data to see whether it will be possible to make it permanent. Another fab example of @AndyBurnhamGM working with local Labour to benefit residents in need. 🚌👏🏻

There are a number of protests in Manchester this weekend including a visit from the far right group Britain First. Please see the message to our communities from @ManCityCouncil below - “Manchester does not tolerate racism, bigotry or division”.

Afterwards, Angela and Chris joined in the monthly Ladybarn Litter Pick, with lots of rubbish collected. Your Withington Labour councillors - working hard in the community all year round. ♻️ 2/2

This morning Angela was out with @GMPFallowfield doing a speedwatch session on Ladybarn Lane. Residents have told us that speeding is a big problem on this road. 👮🏼‍♂️ The session was really effective, and we will organise more sessions with GMP in the coming months. 🚘 1/2

We were at the Withington Civic Society litter pick this morning, along with @gavinwhite76. Great to see lots of local residents doing their bit to keep the area clean and tidy. ❤️ ♻️ We also reported some fly-tipping and will be following to make sure this is sorted.
