Just seen this remarkable paper that was published at the start of Jan. It contains a finding of great interest to my fellow energy geeks: than demand reduction from energy efficiency doesn't last. /1 cam.ac.uk/research/news/insu…

Until architects grapple with low fees funded by long hours and under-investment we're never going to help staff meet the challenges of the cost-of-living crisis: my thoughts in today's @ArchitectsJrnal, as reported by @GinoSpoc. architectsjournal.co.uk/news…

Back to this again. @RIBA is excluding press from their council meeting on this week... just like they did with their last meeting in October. Why is the institute so scared of members/the public finding out what it is up to? xitter.cf/WillIng9/status/140800…
It is really worrying that @RIBA has once again blocked @ArchitectsJrnal from attending its council meeting today – because of 'technical reasons'

Another article on HfL closure. All their projects should go back to the drawing board. Adequate due diligence and resident engagement has not been a feature of any HfL schemes & what has been produced does not reflect the Climate Emergency. @WillIng9 architectsjournal.co.uk/news…

£16,500 for a full-time job in London is grim. It's 30% less than London Living Wage (£23,302 per year)... which is not surprising as average monthly rent for a room is now £857 (x12 = £10,300) 💀
Replying to @RIBA
@RIBA is, once again, advertising poverty wages on its own website. What is the point of this institution if it doesn't even attempt to enforce its standards.
