The explanation I gave to @BBCLondonNews about the terrible decision that @lambeth_council and @dannyadilypour specifically has made, which he claims to be '100% confident that it's the right decision' which I and at least 150 others dispute.

Demolition plans for Central Hill and Cressingham Gardens estates "currently unviable " says Lambeth Green planning chief. Is the nightmare finally over for the residents who have fought these insane Labour plans for years? newsfromcrystalpalace.wordpr…

Antisemitism is serious.
That’s precisely why it should never be weaponised as a political football. Labour doing so should disgust people across every community.
And all this while they continue to arm a genocide and lock up pensioners.
Antisemitism is a cancer in our politics.
We fought hard to root it out of our party.
We will not stand by and watch it infect public life again.

Fantastic news! As you say, these proposals end years of uncertainty and put the focus where it belongs: repairing homes, supporting communities and filling empty properties. 🙌
Finally after 12 years of struggle and suffering, the recommendation from Lambeth council is to not proceed with demolition of Cressingham or Central Hill. We could have told them that 12 years ago....and we did! ✊🎉

An enormous relief to see Cllr Michael Ball's Hawaiian shirts after a succession of audiovisual difficulties with this evening's live stream.

At times like this, the mask really comes off the British media.
There is no pretence - at all - about their impartiality or objectivity towards the Green Party.
It is a blatant naked partisan cross-media assault against the Greens.

This man has achieved more in a year outside of parliament than a lot of politicians do in a lifetime.
He's rightly taking this moment to thank everyone that tirelessly supported the campaign, but let's put some respect on his name too: big up, Zacky P!
We're proud of you x

Exactly what is Labour celebrating today? That they retained their until ‘yesterday’ PM’s seat?
Exactly what are the media chastising Zack Polanski’s for? Trebling the Green vote in said constituency?
Pull the other one chaps.
The UK’s establishment are only interested in one thing: to ensure that, in a country where everything must change, nothing that jeopardises their power changes.
Dead keen to ensure that rivers of money continue to be wasted on inflating their ill-gotten assets, they see the Greens as a clear and present danger to said asset prices. They will do anything to keep Britain on the path of decline and toxicity that is consistent with the propping up of their rentier economy – at the expense of the economy of the vast majority. theguardian.com/politics/liv…
Time to call them out.

Today I spoke to Matthew Wright on @lbc about how Zack has transformed the Green Party into an electoral force that is pushing Labour hard in some of its safest seats. We tripled our vote share whilst Labour's fell but it also says a lot that we are disappointed because that's the level of our ambition.
Losing any election is disappointing and more so now because Zack has given us a winning mindset but look how far the green party has come in 12 months under his leadership. It's remarkable and as Andy Burnham collides with reality our green ascendancy will continue.

Congratulations to @Sagal_AW. I wish her the very best in representing this amazing place.
I'm proud of the campaign we fought. To go from 10% to 33% of the vote share during the PM's 'bounce' is good - but our ambitions are far higher.

This weekend I travelled from Shetland to London to support @zackpolanski in the Holborn & St Pancras by-election.
This contest is hugely consequential and will have huge ramifications for government policy on workers’ rights, climate, environment, migration and human rights.

The mere suggestion of rent controls by @AyoCaesar causes audible gasps and nervous laughter on the #bbcqt panel.
100% guaranteed that not a single one of the panelists is a renter and has experienced the insecurity and extraction that renters do at the hands of private landlords
