I think this little owl might have known it was my birthday as he didn’t look quite so cross as usual. 😠😆 🎈🦉 He melts my heart. What a cutie sitting there in the rain. ☔️ 🌧

l’ve had no orders for my nature jewellery collection. I know they’re expensive but the materials for each cost £70 or more & I can’t charge nothing for several hours’ making time on each piece. They used to sell out.
I make intricate casts of real flowers incl. snowdrop, lily of the valley & wild carrot, nature finds such as dragonfly wings & feathers & tiny 3d wearable sculptures of much-love birds. I’m taking pre-orders for🎄. A RT would really really help my small business rn, thankyou x: etsy.com/uk/shop/silverpebbl…

CRAZY SCENES IN GRAVELINES, NORTHERN FRANCE!
A large group of illegal migrants openly making their way through this small, beautiful French town towards the beach.
I suspect they are preparing for an attempted crossing to Britain tomorrow.
No authorities in sight. No oversight. No attempt to hide.
Just another extraordinary scene unfolding in broad daylight.

The critics like to say it is all vibes. The vibes really matter when you see empathy and humanity rooted in something he has long supported
The Prime Minister presented a special recognition award at the Pride of Britain Awards to honour the founders of Andy’s Man Club, Elaine and Luke.
In 2016, Andy Roberts, Elaine’s son and Luke’s brother-in-law, tragically took his own life at just 23 years old. The pair went on to create Andy's Man Club, a male suicide prevention charity that has grown from a single group in Halifax to more than 360 groups nationwide.
Through its mission to break the stigma around men’s mental health, Andy’s Man Club has saved thousands of lives and inspired men to speak up when they need help 🤝

Hey @owenjonesjourno what do you propose to do about these women who won't have sex with the men you want them to have sex with?
Wildlife Tweets 🌿🍄 retweeted
In 2026, women are having to explain very very slowly, that choosing to date who we choose, rather than prioritising men's feelings, is equality and our absolute rock solid right.
Owen's 'progressive' misogyny is showing yet again. And it taints his every single take on everything.

If you want to know whose side Reform are on, look at how their millionaire leaders and far right backers like @kelvmackenzie are lining up to attack trade unions and ordinary workers and defend those dodgy billionaire donors. Just as this piece of shit lined up to attack Liverpool fans after Hillsborough , he’s back attacking ordinary people to defends the establishment.
Trade unions money comes from millions of ordinary workers, who if they wish can pay a few pounds into their union’s political fund, with a legal right to opt out. The union members decide whether to affiliate to the Labour Party and how much to contribute. It’s regulated, accounted for and declared and is millions of individuals making small donations .
What a contrast Reform are . They have just been bunged £72 MILLION by TWO dodgy multi millionaires. One, Ben Delo pleaded guilty in the US to breaking anti-money-laundering law but was pardoned by Trump.
And the second, Christopher Harborn is the man who previously gave Farage a £5m “personal gift” which Farage broke Parliamentary rules by failing to declare.
Both come from vast fortunes in crypto generating no wealth or economic benefit for anyone but the millionaire donors. And the public has nothing remotely like the visibility over where the wealth behind those fortunes ultimately came from that it has over regulated trade-union political funds.
Millions of workers chipping in a few quid: Reform attacks it.
Two billionaires handing over £72m: Reform pockets it and praises donors.
Let’s never again hear the claim Reform is a party of working people. It’s a party that hates ordinary worker, led by millionaires and bought for them by billionaires.

Personally, I’m absolutely positive that what the UK needs now is a government backed largely by elderly white people who dress up as the Battle of Agincourt, believe shit they see on FB and attack hecklers with their walking sticks. China must be laughing its bloody head off.

The lady that was physically assaulted at @reformparty_uk conference talks about the brutal assault (it is now a police matter)
She says its by far the worst assault she's ever experienced.
She was repeatedly asking for them to stop but they wouldn't listen.

We are witnessing an assault here and the police must investigate.
The protester has a right to heckle, whether you or I agree or disagree with the views or approve or disapprove of the tactic.
But it is against the law to physically attack people.
I do NOT GIVE A SHIT about the feral yobs who died when they killed two serving police officers in that terrible incident. As for their families and yobs commemorating their deaths with fireworks 🧨 flares and rioting arrest these scum too. Enough is enough!

I'll never forget how stunned I was when I was told that I had metastatic cancer and that my lungs were filled with multiple large masses of the stuff. I went to the Dr. because I thought my coughing was post-nasal drip.
Well, here we are so far beyond that date, all my hurrying to make final arrangements, designate beneficiaries and starting to part with things.
I eschewed the chemo/radiation options and decided to go with palliative care only (home hospice).
I feel better now than I did for the six months preceding my Dr. visit.
People on here bolstered my spirits, and some have done a lot more by being vigilant over me and keeping me on the right path.
I accepted that I was dying and that it was just a matter of time. Yes, I DID suffer quite a bit with physical symptoms that made it a challenge to even want to continue to live. Some very dark days and nights indeed.
Then one day I met an honest-to-God angel sent from heaven in the form of the kindest roofer who saw me struggling just to stand to discuss my roofing options after a leak. He asked me a few questions and then put his hand on my shoulder and told me this was one thing I didn't have to worry about, that he and his crew would repair the roof at no cost to me.
I'd fallen away from the church (and God) long ago, but I couldn't deny it any longer. This is when everything seemed to turn around for me - me toward God (thank you, Lord!), and believing again.
The power of prayer is nothing to scoff at. I'm 8-1/2 months down the line and I no longer even self Identify as a terminal patient. I am healing through the grace of God and am enjoying every day that I'm living.
I know this was a very long post so that most will not even bother to read it, but it's what's in my heart and I needed to share.
God bless you all for sticking with me through all of it!

This really sums up modern right wing politics.
Imagine deciding to pin this tweet.
Today’s right wing politics is mostly defined by spite and bile.
There is nothing much else that’s coherent about it.

The thing I hear more than anything when I’m out talking to people is just how expensive everyday life has become.
The weekly shop. The commute to work. A trip into town with the kids. Too many people are doing everything right and still finding there’s not enough left at the end of the month.
That has to change.
My number one priority is giving people some room to breathe on the cost of living. That means taking the big decisions needed to make Britain better off, but it also means fixing the everyday things that quietly take money out of people’s pockets.
We've already announced a £2 cap on bus fares in England and a tax cut on electricity bills. And last week, we announced new rules to stop people being trapped in subscriptions they don’t want and a crackdown on fake discounts that make you think you’re getting a bargain when you’re not.
And there’s much more to come.
Because when someone tells me something is making their life harder or more expensive, I don’t think the answer from government should be to shrug its shoulders and say that’s just how things are.
One of the reasons I’m spending this summer getting out across the country is to hear directly from people about what else needs to change.
The best ideas don’t all come from Westminster. More often than not, they come from the people dealing with these problems every day.
So if you see me out and about, come and tell me what you think.
We won’t fix everything overnight. But wherever my government can make life a little easier, fairer or more affordable, we will.
That’s how we give people room to breathe and start bringing back hope.

This is incredibly horrible. I genuinely don’t understand how you have so much hate in your heart, enough to use someone’s death as fodder to further more exemplify your own social profile.
It’s a real shame, I hope you find peace some day.
The only person responsible for Jason Arday's death is Jason Arday.
He was a liar and a fraud who was rightly exposed for what he really was by academics and journalists who were simply doing their job.
No one forced Arday to make up lie after lie about his life. He chose to do that. And he did it for financial gain and to bask in the applause it brought him.
He used those lies to deceive people into giving him a job he didn't merit, a lucrative book deal he didn't deserve, as well as fame and adulation he didn't earn.
And when he was found out, he called in the police and expensive lawyers to shut his accusers up, and his failed students who complained were branded as racist.
Cambridge University and Jesus College enabled this liar by lauding him as brilliant when he wasn't even mediocre. They should ask themselves why they put their DEI religion above the need for fairness in their appointments processes, above the needs of Arday's students and, most importantly, above the truth.
Arday's family and friends should ask themselves why they chose not to speak out to expose his lies which they must have known to be untrue.
The police should ask themselves why they thought it acceptable to investigate an academic and a journalist simply for asking questions about Arday's fraudulent CV.
The BBC and Arday's many other deluded cheerleaders should ask themselves why they were so desperate to believe Arday's outlandish claims in the face of all the evidence.
The thousands of the great and the good in academia, politics, media and law who signed the Good Law Project letter backing Arday should ask themselves why, without any justification, they outrageously branded Arday's critics as racists who just wanted to bring down a successful black man because of the colour of his skin.
All of these people made their own contributions to Jason Arday's life. And arguably all of them contributed in some way to his decision to take his own life when his fantastical claims were finally exposed for what they really were: lies.
The idea that those who exposed Arday as a lying fraudster are to blame for his death is as laughable as it is outrageous.
The idea that Arday was "hounded" to his death is absurd. He chose to tell every single lie himself and he even chose to continue those lies in his resignation letter from Cambridge. He is not the victim. He is the perpetrator.
The claim that Arday's downfall was only a front page story because he was black is also ridiculous. He chose to tell the lies that made him a front page story in the first place.
I feel sorry for those who loved him. It is very sad that he has chosen to take his own life rather than face the consequences of his own actions, which should have resulted in a criminal conviction for fraud.
But actions have consequences. This isn't about right and left. It's about right and wrong.

Never forget that a few weeks ago half this fucking ecosystem was holding a state funeral for Rod Liddle.
Suddenly every professional shit-stirrer in Britain was Cicero.
- He was a great satirist.
- He was a fearless polemicist.
- He was Jonathan fucking Swift with a fag hanging out of his mouth.
All the murkier bits were quietly folded underneath the tablecloth.
The sexism, the misogyny, the domestic violence, the endless misanthropic trolling, the whole career spent behaving as though civilisation would collapse unless somebody periodically wrote something revolting in The Spectator and called it courage.
But Jason Arday?
Apparently his great unforgivable crime was that he may have been a bit of a fucking blagger.
He told tall stories. He embellished things. He convinced prestigious people that he was more extraordinary than he actually was.
He may have blagged his way into rooms full of clever white people who then enthusiastically told everybody how wonderful he was.
STOP THE FUCKING PRESS.
A charismatic man exaggerated his achievements and important institutions swallowed it whole.
We have apparently discovered fraud.
And Christ, look at the difference in cultural treatment.
A white male provocateur like Liddle can spend decades being obnoxious, offensive, self-mythologising and professionally irritating and it gets repackaged as roguishness.
We celebrate him as a maverick. A rogue, A dangerous wit. Bit of a bastard, but what a writer.
A Black academic allegedly embellishes marathon times and elements of his biography and suddenly Britain develops the investigative appetite of fucking Woodward and Bernstein.
Every claim checked.
Every former student interviewed.
Every old job excavated.
Every anecdote cross-examined.
Every institution dragged into the dock.
And hovering over all of it is that poisonous little insinuation:
DEI.
How did this man get there?
Who lowered the standards?
Which deserving person was displaced?
Funny, because British academia has never exactly suffered a shortage of white plagiarists, cranks, bullshitting grandees, hereditary mediocrities, eugenicists, financial scandals and people whose professional altitude substantially exceeded their intellectual horsepower.
Where was this incandescent concern for institutional standards then?
Where were the fucking torches?
Where was the tedious national inquiry into how some spectacularly mediocre white bloke had acquired a chair, three honorary fellowships and the confidence to explain civilisation to everybody else?
Apparently the system only became an existential emergency when a Black man may have blagged it.
I have spent years telling people the scar under my eye came from fighting a grizzly bear with a penknife. It actually came from playing rugby when I was ten.
Nobody appointed me Professor of Ursine Combat because of it, admittedly, but the principle stands.
Sometimes people bullshit.
Sometimes institutions are stupid enough to believe them.
The Arday story deserved scrutiny.
What it did not deserve was this extraordinary racial pantomime in which one possibly fraudulent Black professor became evidence that the entire project of allowing Black people into prestigious institutions had somehow gone horribly wrong.
Because if bullshitters occupying positions above their station discredits the system that elevated them, Britain is going to have to close Parliament, half the newspapers and several fucking universities by lunchtime on Monday.
