being a dog adoptions counselor has been v healing, but i’m looking for my next news gig…so if anyone has leads on editorial jobs in sf, hmu!
i’ve written for @WSJ, @business & @theinformation…i also worked in news product @washingtonpost and edited newsletters @axios!
Ever since I wrote about solar car racing last summer, I’ve been wanting to return to the innovation / engineering space since so much is happening there :)
Feeling incredibly lucky to start working on a dream beat at a dream pub in my favorite city 🙆🏽♀️
After finishing post-grad internships @wsj and @business, I’m happy to be returning to @theinformation to report on the future on transportation & mobility! (aka Waymo, AVs, ridehailing)
If you’re in the Bay and work in the space, let’s chat over boba: alex@theinformation.com
Just finished my last day @business as a real estate reporting intern! Fall class was small but mighty ☺️
An incredibly full house for @ava at last night’s style session! Loved hearing her talk about how filmmaking marries passion and impact…especially ahead of Origin coming out next week :)
🥂new year, new gig!🥂
i'm happy to share that i’m starting a 10-week journalism residency on @washingtonpost's core news products team! super excited to learn from those building the future of news and very thankful to those who opened these doors for me 🙏
Happy holidays, Aunt Benét!! Currently munching on mala stir fry with some friends in a hawker center for dinner haha! we ofc have a mandatory bucket of Tiger with us :)
One of my favorite parts about coming back to Singapore after going to j-school is reading the broadsheets I grew up with through a different lens. Note the Sunday paper’s above-the-fold art, string content from AFP, AP, NYT & Bloomberg, use of honorifics and lowercased acronyms!
Seems like a good time to drop my @NiemanLab prediction! Even with all the wins college media has had in 2023, we can’t leave behind student papers that are being defunded.

like yes I am in your inbox, sending you nice things to bookmark in case you get hate mail in the future 🫡
the second-best thing about this job is the fact that i am once again working in the same newsroom as @alexhairysun (the most intrepid ryan field reporter), despite him graduating last year to get away from me 😗
