Companies like @verona_dev, @GoKiteAI, @pieverse_io, @openroboto, and @Hippo_Protocol all explored the same issue: what happens when AI moves beyond just talking and starts doing important work? This includes figuring out who checks the facts, who handles the money, who trains the AI, and who takes the blame when something goes wrong. Even though the event is over, Seoul is clearly still on Verona’s mind. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Aster launched VERONA/USDT perpetuals, with a $30,000 $ASTER pool and bonus $VERONA rewards until September 26. What’s more interesting, though, is how they’re making it available. Aster is putting these VERONA perps directly in front of users who already have Binance Wallet, Trust Wallet, and SafePal. The Barretenberg verifier in x/zk is now at v5.2.0, Meta Accounts have been improved, and wasmmv has been strengthened. While most users won’t notice or need to know the specifics of the verifier version, it means applications can build on this without every team having to develop their own verification systems. Instead of looking at each integration, token listing, or proof count in isolation, it makes more sense to see how they fit together. They tied it to a community thread contest, so people have a reason to actually explore the site and share what they find, with a couple days still left to enter ≥xitter.cf/verona_comm/status/209… Then there were two partnerships, each hitting a different need. @ATBASHai is teaming up with Verona around something AI agents will run into fast: limits. Verona can verify the facts an agent uses, and Atbash checks whether the agent is even allowed to take the action before anything irreversible happens. @PulsarMoneyApp is more about incentives. It’s bringing an AI companion and points system into Verona, aiming to link decisions and rewards to verifiable events instead of just trusting whatever the app says occurred. At the same time, the network looked like it was picking up again. @BurntBanksy shared a daily active users chart calling it “comeback season,” and Verona echoed the same momentum with “slowly then all at once,” which honestly fits the pace of the week. The community side stayed busy too. And the week wrapped with another event announcement: on September 17, Verona will be in Seoul for “Behind the Scenes of AI” alongside Kite AI, Pieverse, OpenRobotto, and Hippo Protocol, built around the questions of who verifies, who pays, and who trains AI. 💐Verona just finished a Seoul event with five teams, five sessions, and dinner, all built around one question: if AI agents are going to act for us, spend money, and use our data, what do they need to prove before we trust them? The teams were @verona_dev, @GoKiteAI, @pieverse_io, @openroboto, and @Hippo_Protocol. They’re working on different things, but they run into the same issue once agents stop just answering and start taking action. KiteAI is the clearest case. If an agent is going to pay for something, it has to know the info behind the payment is real. Verona is about verification, Kite is about settlement, and that’s where they meet. Pieverse is more everyday. Most people won’t download a new app just to use an agent. They’ll probably talk to one in Kakao or LINE. But a useful agent needs access to your data without having to store it, which is where Verona comes in again. OpenRoboto focuses on training. People can improve a model, submit it, and have it tested under the same rules as everyone else. If it’s better, that should be something you can prove, not just claim. Hippo deals with the hardest category: health data. Medical records could help AI a lot, but they’re also the last thing you want spreading around. The idea here is letting verified info be used without moving the actual records. The event ending doesn’t mean Verona is done in Seoul. “Find Verona in Seoul” is still going through KBW, with ₩13M total across dates, the KBW booth, and missions. It’s basically a Verona scavenger hunt. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ I first thought it was just another side event, but seeing what each team brought made the lineup feel more intentional: payments, private data, model training, health data, and agents inside apps people already use. 😳 I've spent about five minutes trying to figure out why I can SEE THE CURTAINS through @BurntBanksy And now I have questions. @verona_dev is supposed to be working on verified data, proofs, AI infrastructure, and all kinds of future tech. But I don't remember reading anything about transparent founder technology.
