SVP.
He's the best. Top of his game. But where was @notthefakeSVP THEN? You might be surprised.
Pre-TGC & #ESPN, SVP sold beepers & mortgages, and admits he was quite bad at both.
SVP writes & voices his "Where They Were Then" chapter in a new book.

1 moment. 1 chance. That's it.
In the TV business, you better be ready when it arrives. For @kevincorke it happened while sleeping in his car in Colorado Springs. He was ready & his career took off.
Kevin's rise to @ESPN & then @FoxNews is 1 of 15 stories in a new audiobook...
Before the internet. Before YouTube. Before TikTok.
Before all of that, there were minimum wage TV jobs in small towns across America. That's where you had to start if you dreamed of making it big.
@wingoz did. His story & 14 others are in a new book.

Congrats to @StanfordVoice for the next chapter in his amazing career. Kansas City is lucky to have you.
And, speaking for all Bay Area sports fans, you will be dearly missed...
Leaving Stanford (and the Bay) is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. But great opportunities like this don't come along very often, and I am excited to move onto the next challenge! I am forever indebted to @GoStanford for a decade's worth of incredible memories.
One moment. One chance.

Any broadcaster who has been fortunate enough to call a game in ANY sport... at ANY level... should thank Vin Scully for paving the road. He is the best and his excellence will never be repeated.
Thank you, Vin Scully. May you Rest In Peace.

Making it big is fun. Working hard to make it big is... work. Lots of work.
@Jaymee started her career in Montana. Small-market TV sports is nothing like @ESPN or @FoodNetwork.
Jaymee's path to the top is 1 of 15 stories in a new book/audiobook, "Where They Were Then".
Interview of your lifetime.
Your plane lands. You go to get your suit. It's not there. Gone.
What do you do? @TheAndyKatz did some of his best reporting that night & it became a defining moment in his career.
Andy's career story & path to @ESPN is 1 of 15 in a new book.
It should be no surprise that the amazing & unique career of @Kenny_Mayne started on the Vegas strip... getting chased out of a casino by a prostitute. For a news story, of course.
Kenny's path to @ESPN is 1 of 15 in a new audiobook. Click below to start listening today.
You'd want to leave a gig that pays $6/hour, right? @StanfordVoice did. His 1st paid job in TV was in Utica, NY. Good experience. Horrible pay.
But one guy named Rick never wanted Scott, or anyone else, to leave Utica.
Scott's early career story is 1 of 15 in a new audiobook.
And who happens to be excellent at it!
Thrilled that you're part of this book/audiobook. Thanks for writing and voicing your chapter, which fits perfectly before @ESPN alum @Kenny_Mayne & right after @wingoz.
Watch Heidi at the @Padres game tonight in SD on @AppleTVPlus
Fresno. 2005.
