WeatherLayers GL 2025.1.0 is out, try it when it's fresh!
With this release, we also announce new datasets to be available at WeatherLayers Cloud:
- HRRR (regions: CONUS, Alaska), for detailed US weather data
- CMEMS WAV/PHY (regions: NWS, MED), for detailed EU ocean data
WeatherLayers GL interleaving with @maplibre globe works! Just a few finishing touches left and it will be ready for release.
WeatherLayers Cloud request count since the beginning of the year, with the pattern of recent LA events, as monitored by @watchdutyapp. Our infra is holding perfectly. It seemed that the situation has started improving there over time. But today there is another spike? Yikes!
New features for vibrant colorful visualizations have landed in our February release! 🌈

- minimal icon size in Grid layer, enables smooth scaled icon sizes
- custom major interval in Contour layer
