Another cool, crisp fall night with patchy frost. A beautiful day Thursday. Breezy across the high terrain and slightly cooler Friday and Saturday. Great fall weather, hope you are enjoying!

A couple Orionid meteors early this morning over the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia.
Pretty minor meteor shower - only saw a couple in an hour. Still, first night Central VA has had good visibility for one over the last year...

Very pretty views. But honestly, I've never seen amazing foliage pics from the top. The drive is pretty. Rough but pretty

We're building something important at Tornado Talk, and we'd love for you to be part of it.
The Virtual Tornado Memorial is our ongoing project to identify and document the more than 22,000 people who have lost their lives in U.S. tornadoes.
This work goes far beyond compiling a list of names. We're digging through historical newspapers, death records, cemetery records, and other sources to piece together the stories of individuals and families affected by these storms.
We're also working with students and volunteers, visiting archives, and connecting with communities across the country.
There's an enormous amount of research ahead, and there are many ways to help, from sharing historical information to supporting the research itself.
Learn more about what we're building and how you can get involved.

FINGER LAKES REFLECTION: Easily my favorite shot of the day as vibrant fall color reflected on calm water in Bristol, New York. I had to wait until just before sunset for the Sun angle to illuminate the hill of foliage just right. It was worth the wait!
Apple pie tomorrow won't be the same without you guys @LauraMockWX @ddeguzmanTV
