Fall colors are chaotic throughout West Virginia this year, but Pennsylvania is starting to shine!

Fall in West Virginia. Almost Heaven, and it gets it quite honestly.

Photos are from a couple of locations: Canaan Valley where there are some beautiful bogs, and the Appalachian Highway just east of Davis. Photos from Saturday, October 3.
The fall color is still relatively isolated (despite the look of the photos!). Canaan Valley is definitely the furthest along and will probably peak this week. The high elevations of Dolly Sods look pretty wind-swept, and so although they will peak this week too, the color quality looks to be pretty low.
The lower elevations still have PLENTY of time. And it should be a good color year!! Any trip in the next few weeks will produce wonderful views and plenty of leaf peeping opportunities. π·
I won't be going back to WV this season because I've go another trip planned coming up very soon... stay tuned!!
