An update on short-term rentals in Wayzata: The City Council is actively evaluating our next steps, both legally and from a policy standpoint. We are exploring all options—including a potential appeal, a requested moratorium, zoning measures, and pathways for responsible operators. We will review staff recommendations in upcoming sessions to determine the best path forward.

Kids are kids - there’s never been a tougher time to be one, especially with the adults in the room making $ ranking them online.

Since 1975, this festival has honored the legacy of James J. Hill, the "Empire Builder" who shaped our town. He built the iconic train depot in 1906 and played a pivotal role in transforming Wayzata into the vibrant, picturesque community it is today.
For 50 years, JJ Hill Days has been Lake Minnetonka's most cherished tradition, bringing together over 50,000 visitors for a three day weekend of delicious food, fun activities, and family-friendly festivities. It's truly an honor to welcome you all.
