We lost a true legend with the passing of Bob Fisher. "Shoebob" loved saving soles, heeling people, & founded the IOCP Sleep Out. He was Wayzata's greatest cheerleader, always positive. To my family, Bob and Theresa were dear friends and our backyard neighbors for over a decade.
Wayzata lost a great one. Kent Howe was a true super volunteer, serving on our Planning & Charter Commissions until age 90, shaping our city. A veteran & dear friend, we owe him so much.

On the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 - Honoring victims, survivors and first responders. In remembrance of Gordon McCannel Aamoth Jr., a beloved member of our community who perished on September 11, 2001 during the attack on the World Trade Center.

Officer Bill Mathews was tragically killed in the line of duty on 9/8/17. He served Wayzata with dedication, warmth, and integrity. As we remember his life and service today, our hearts remain with his family, loved ones, and colleagues in blue. We will never forget his sacrifice

Earlier this week, we officially pushed @WayzataMN’s new ladder truck into service! 🚒 New '26 Pierce replaces a 30-year-old rig, bringing major upgrades: • 110-foot reach with a tighter turn radius for our hills & narrow streets • 500 gal tank (up from 200) • 1,500 GPM pump
Today marks a somber anniversary for Wayzata. 44 years ago on his 36th birthday Sgt. James "J.W." Anderson gave his life to protect our community.
His sacrifice still matters, and his legacy lives on.
