"...a chronicle of emotion, creativity and faith, tuned in to the magnitude of Shorter’s musicianship and, no less, to his playfulness and searching nonconformity."

Wayne Shorter. Zero Gravity.

My husband and I saw a series produced by Brad Pitt re Wayne Shorter: Zero Gravity. Wayne died at 89 yrs of age in March of this year. I was astounded by his ability to mind meld with other musicians in a trance-like-group-genius-jazz-flow state 🤯

Just one, really. Zero Gravity. A Wayne Shorter three part documentary. It took like 13 years to film. Oscar worthy IMO.

"Zero Gravity understands that flight. It understands that avant-garde improvisation was not only a way of making music for Shorter; it was a way of living for someone who knew that “you can’t rehearse the unknown.”
