🌍 Warsaw Security Forum 2026
On 12–13 October, the 13th edition of the Warsaw Security Forum brought together more than 3,000 participants from over 90 countries. Organised by the @FundPulaskiego, WSF welcomed political and military leaders, policymakers, diplomats and security experts for two days of discussions on one of Europe’s most pressing questions: how to ensure the continent’s security in the face of Russia’s ongoing aggression and shifting transatlantic relations.
The discussions at WSF 2026 highlighted the importance of translating strategic dialogue into action. The decisions made today will shape the future of Euro-Atlantic security.

The “Theory of Victory” presented by Gen. Alexus Grynkewich, dozens of interviews, hundreds of inspiring conversations.
That’s one brief summary of the Warsaw Security Forum, which took place on October 12 and 13 in Warsaw under the hashtag #UnitedWeStand.
During these two extremely intense days, we hosted a broad range of guests in the TVP World zone, including Andrzej Domański, Gen. Alexus Grynkewich, Margus Tsahkna, Michał Baranowski, Josef Aschbacher, Nathalie Tocci, and Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
Our reporters and journalists spoke with Forum attendees about topics related to the current geopolitical situation, European security, cooperation with China, and even the exploration of space.

TVP World’s Paweł Trzaskowski and Stuart Dowell were also present at the event, sitting down at presentations and panel discussions. In total, more than 200 special guests took the stage to share their knowledge and experience with over 2,500 participants.

GMF's @ClaudMajor joined this year's @WarsawForum to discuss European nuclear and conventional deterrence alongside @MBDAGroup CEO Éric Béranger, Advisor for Strategic Affairs and Disarmament to the President of France @Xavier_Chatel_, Destinus President @Danylyuk_O, and former UK Secretary of State for Defence (2019–2023) Sir @BenWallace70. The discussion was moderated by @FundPulaskiego Board Member @TomaszSmura.
Major argued that deterrence is not only about capabilities but also about perceptions. "Do we believe our American allies will come? Does Russia believe our American allies will come?" she asked.
She stressed that, in her opinion, allies must invest both in military capabilities and in cohesion to effectively deter adversaries. One possible way to strengthen deterrence, she added, would be to add an additional layer through the French "forward deterrence initiative."

What does a more capable Europe mean for US leadership?
“We may find from time to time they say, ‘Hold up. We have a different view on this,'" Council Distinguished Nonresident Fellow @Julie_C_Smith said on a transatlantic alliance panel at the 2026 @WarsawForum. "'And we are going to challenge some of what you're putting forward.’”
Later that day, she joined Council President and CEO @londonvinjamuri for a session produced by the Council in partnership with the Warsaw Security Forum on how the midterm elections could make or break the NATO alliance.

Space has become an integral part of the modern battlefield. It is thanks to the communications enabled by Starlink that Ukraine can continue to defend itself against the Russian invasion.
In an interview with TVP World, Josef Aschbacher [@AschbacherJosef], Director General of the European Space Agency [@esa], argues that Europe possesses modern space technology that is superior to that of Russia and China.
“Our lives revolve around these technologies, but security and defense cannot function without space either,” says Josef Aschbacher.
