While out shooting a story today an older white woman in a mask approached me to say hello. I greeted her & went back to shooting the story. Before I could look up from my camera, she reached out & pet the side of my hair. 1. It’s inappropriate. 2. There’s a pandemic. (1/4)

After I left the GOP, some people suggested I join the Democratic Party. I said I respect the Democrats, but I’m too conservative to be a Democrat. “But we’re a big tent” they told me. Really? It’s starting to sound like the Dem Party isn’t even a big enough tent for Joe Manchin.

Why the name thing is so triggering to me and so many other Asians. A thread. I spent my entire adult life in the U.S. by my "nickname" Michelle because I hated dealing with the burden of correcting people each time they got my name wrong.

What are we going to about the kids who have thrived with distance learning and don’t want to come back to in-person learning, Covid or no Covid? We’re estimating this has actually been a good thing for 20% of our students.
