This is misleading. The below statement is only true on chains with 0 premine, 0 ceo like Hive
If the chain has a premine then it has a centralized point of failure, thus its the premines owners content not yours
Your keys are worthless if any 1 entity has 51% + of voting power

Steem ended up as Hive, which surpassed Steem in every metric, removed the premine and has been able to fully sustain itself without VC funding.
