This is exactly how I imagined Texas to look like

I have to say a huge thank you to everyone we met this summer who told us to come back for college football in the fall. This was the best idea ever! Before this trip, we had never really followed American football, not even the NFL. The Super Bowl was the only game we watched. Now, four weeks into our trip, we’ve become such big fans of the sport that we’re already planning watch parties in the middle of the night when we’re back in Germany! After today’s game, we rushed back to our hotel to catch the rest of Alabama vs. Georgia, and now we’re sitting here watching Boise State vs. Fresno State. Never thought we’d get this hooked on football. Thanks for introducing us to this amazing sport! 🙏

I don‘t know why I‘ve never heard about this stadium before but this looks iconic. 91,000 capacity! Also there‘s two pony‘s here on the Oklahoma side: Boomer and Sooner.

Alright, first college game experience done. We definitely made some beginner mistakes, like arriving way too late for tailgating (sorry to everyone whose tailgate we didn’t make it to). Staying 50 minutes away from the college town probably wasn’t our best idea either. Definitely something we need to do better next game. Other than that, it was quite a surreal experience. I don’t really know what I can compare it to. It’s completely different from European sports culture. It’s really just a big party the whole day. In Germany, we don’t have university sports, so seeing how huge it is here is quite hard to comprehend. Can’t wait for the next game next week already!

WE‘RE IN CHICAGO! THIS CITY LOOKS INSANE!!!

It’s 2am in Germany and everything is packed for our flight tomorrow🇩🇪🔜🇺🇸 This time we’re bringing a big suitcase because we’ll need some warmer clothes for the colder weather in October. In 24 hours we’re gonna be in Chicago, pretty surreal. Also here’s some random photos I took of my hometown the last few days because I realized I haven’t really posted as much from home as I said I would.

Alright, the flight is booked!!!🇺🇸✈️ In exactly one week we’re flying back to America! We’ll land in Chicago on Thursday, do some quick sightseeing, and then on Friday we’ll get in the car and drive to Iowa City for our first ever college football game. Iowa vs Iowa State!!!🏈
