Today’s announcement by the government is not only deeply troubling but factually flawed.

I interviewed survivors of October 7th.
Devastated parents of massacred young people.
Starved hostages.
Women who had to tend the bodies of girls so mutilated they could only be identified by DNA or a nose ring without a face.
Unimaginable savagery.
Hamas carried out “ethnic cleansing” of Jews.

By the way, the last time Jeremy Corbyn visited Israel, it was to meet Hamas.
I scooped it for i24NEWS in 2018.
Genuinely staggering he wasn't the subject of a travel ban until now.

This is truly a dark day for British Jews.
Today our Government has chosen to ignore the deep concerns expressed by so many of us.
The measures announced amount to little more than political flag bearing for mendacious anti-Israel rhetoric and those who harbour a dangerous obsession with the Jewish State. These measures will succeed only in bolstering the very extremism they seek to target.
On the eve of Rosh Hashanah and at a time when our community is more vulnerable than ever to the wave of extremism that has been building over recent years, these sanctions do nothing to advance the cause of peace. Nor do they make anyone safer – quite the contrary.
Gesture politics of this kind feeds into an increasingly hostile discourse about Israel, and the cumulative effect of such punitive policies is to further embolden those, at home and abroad, who use hatred as a weapon against Jews.
Britain has crossed a dangerous line.
Israel receives sanctions, bans and restrictions. The Palestinian leadership receives little more than calls for reform.
These measures risk hurting Palestinians, fuelling hostility towards British Jews and taking us no closer to peace.
Britain has not advanced peace today. It has institutionalised a double standard.

It was an honour for us to host the Deputy Ambassador last night in Birmingham for a wide ranging discussion, including on how we can support Israel to continue to thrive despite the UK government’s unfortunate and ill conceived policies against Israel
Last night I was privileged to meet with the Birmingham Jewish community @jewishwm and the @WMFofIsrael.
Thank you for welcoming me so warmly! It was a pleasure to speak with you and hear more about your proud and resilient community. I took the opportunity to wish them Shana Tova and Gmar Chatima Tova!

At Golders Green today, The King reaffirmed his support for the Jewish community, following a series of antisemitic attacks.
During his time at the Jewish Care centre in North-West London, The King spoke to victims of the recent knife attack that took place in the area on 29th April 2026.
His Majesty also met community police force, Shomrim, who were involved in responding to the attacks.

The CPS has sought to “reassure” Jews about its response to antisemitism.
But look at its evasive reply to my letter in February.
No promise to prosecute those who incite violence against Jews.

No you don't. You spread division and hatred through the lies you push about Israel. You cause Jews to live under fear, intimidation and discrimination. You have poisoned the public sector against Israel and Jews. Your part in this has been monstrous. Own it.
UNISON stands with Britain’s Jewish community to oppose antisemitism.
Message of support for today's rally in central London.

ALT Message from UNISON general secretary Andrea Egan: UNISON stands in solidarity with those speaking up against antisemitism and all forms of hatred and extremism. The recent rise in antisemitic attacks and abuse in the UK and across the world is deeply alarming. Jewish workers, families, and communities deserve to live free from fear, intimidation, and discrimination. We reject attempts to divide communities and we stand alongside our Jewish members and neighbours in saying clearly: antisemitism has no place in our workplaces, our streets, or our society. At a time of growing extremism and tension, it is vital that people come together to defend democratic values, human dignity, and mutual respect.

This just gets worse and worse.
It has now emerged that the new Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, owns two luxury apartments a stone’s throw from Kensington Palace and overlooking the Israeli Embassy in London.
It is likely that these properties, like the others in the sprawling property empire, are owned through other parties on behalf of the newly-installed dictator.
Regulations around transparency of property ownership in Britain are particularly stringent, so it is astonishing that such a security lapse could have occurred.
There is every likelihood that these properties were also purchased with sanctions-busting oil sales and stolen from the Iranian people.

Britain has been slow to act against the antisemitic Islamic Republic of Iran. Here is an opportunity to seize the initiative.
Mojitaba Khamenei, 56, has reportedly been selected to assume the position of Supreme Leader of Iran, after his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed on Saturday by Israeli forces.
Mojitaba Khamenei has long been linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the regime’s paramilitary terrorist group which brutalises its own people, sows chaos and violence across the Middle East through Iranian proxies and targets Jews and Western interests worldwide.
But it seems that Mr Khamenei — whom some reports have suggested has been killed already as well — may have also established a substantial foothold here in the UK.
Mr Khamenei, who was sanctioned by the US in 2019 for his senior role in service of the late Supreme Leader, allegedly has links to a thriving global property empire, valued at over £100 million in the UK alone, including eleven luxury properties located in North London.
The real estate network is alleged to be controlled by Ali Aliakbar Ansari, an Iranian banker and businessman who himself was sanctioned by the UK in October 2025 for allegedly funding the IRGC.
It is alleged that Mr Ansari served as a key intermediary for Mr Khamenei, channelling funds into a property empire, with several properties on The Bishops Avenue in Hampstead in his name but alleged to be held on behalf of Mr Khamenei. Mr Ansari has denied the connection to Mr Khamenei and is challenging the sanctions.
If the allegations are true, such assets may have been funded using monies stolen from the Iranian people.
The UK Government has already frozen these assets, but it must now immediately investigate, and if the allegations are borne out the properties should be seized.
The UK must not be a haven for antisemitic terrorists to hide and launder their money.

Dear @bbcnews... Are you gaslighting us?
You have literally quoted Iran's Foreign Minister as saying Iran's missiles are "intentionally limited" to just 124 miles (200km)...
Israel is being hit by ballistic missiles fired from over 2000km away..
How does that work?

It is extremely worrying to see the Green Party replicate some of the patterns that we saw in the Labour Party under its previous leadership, entryism among them.
The prospect of an influx of extremist members motivated by support for a motion that would effectively declare the overwhelming majority of British Jews inherently racist is absolutely appalling.
76% of British Jews already believe that the Green Party is too tolerant of antisemitism, a figure that has been dramatically rising in recent years. It is as if the Greens have learned absolutely nothing from the EHRC investigation into antisemitism in Labour. If they care about the future of the Jewish community in this country, we urge them to heed the lessons of that era.
Zionism is the belief that Jewish people have the right to self-determination just like other nations. It is despicable that the Green Party would even consider affirming an explicitly anti-Zionist position.

There is literally zero evidence that this happened. None. At all.
But Corbyn pushed it in a video after one person asserted it and now the rest of the obsessive Jew haters are following his lead.
Vile, evil people who wallow in lies if they give them a chance to attack Jews.

The Embassy of Israel expresses its profound concern and utter condemnation regarding the "Zionism is Racism" motion currently under consideration for the Green Party’s upcoming spring conference. a motion so extreme, so hostile, and so intellectually bankrupt that its very inclusion on the agenda raises urgent questions about the direction of the party.
Zionism is the fundamental right of the Jewish people to self determination in their ancestral homeland. It is not an ideology of exclusion, but one of liberation. By seeking to categorise Zionism as a form of racism, this motion attempts to revive the long discredited and hateful equation once promoted by UN Resolution 3379. That resolution was a moral stain on the international community and was decisively revoked by the UN General Assembly in 1991. To attempt to resurrect this falsehood in 2026 is a regressive and dangerous step.
Furthermore, the motion’s explicit support for "armed struggle" is nothing less approval of terrorism. To suggest that "all available means" should be supported is to provide a blank cheque for the same atrocities witnessed on October 7th, 2023: mass murder, torture, rape, and the kidnapping of civilians. To endorse this is to abandon every moral and humanitarian principle the Green Party once claimed to uphold.
Just the existence of such a declaration creates a hostile and threatening environment, providing a justification for further antisemitic hostility. The Green Party should feel nothing but shame for allowing such a motion to reach its conference. Instead of championing social justice, equality, and human rights, this proposal transforms the party into a welcoming refuge for those who hate the different, despise minorities, and promote violence.
The Embassy of Israel calls on the Green Party to reject this motion decisively and unequivocally, to make an effort to prevent their platform from being hijacked by extremism.
