Israel's award-winning journalist Amira Hass breaks down as she tries to put into words the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, Israel's plan for even greater slaughter, and the world's indifference
Veteran Haaretz journalist Amira Hass has reported from the Occupied Palestinian Territories for decades and says the Israeli public is "drunk with the will to take revenge" on Palestinians, spurred on by a far-right government dominated by "extreme fascist settlers."

From the aggressive tone on #planning from senior Labour figures, including Starmer, it appears that Labour intend to out-Tory the Tories in dismantling the planning system. Ignoring local communities and their elected representatives would be an assault on democracy.
Oh dear @LabourParty. Your pledge to bulldoze the planning system and do away with the Green Belt will be a disaster for the countryside. It's also likely to be a big vote loser. @Keir_Starmer ditch this "Grey Belt" nonsense and get behind @CPRE's #Brownfield First policy

Thank you, it is time for more use of data to understand what is really happening in the housing market! Check out our latest blog & write to your MP to request evidence-based decision-making! communityplanningalliance.or…
So brightened up todays Twitter/X feed 😆 We do however love a graph! This one shows that the price of housing might have something to do with developer profits 📈 So STOP bashing campaigners like @DanicaPriest and @RosieP4 and take a swipe at the real culprits Thnx @BuiltPlace

The closure of Bristol's public toilets, & the subsequent poor take up of the 'Community Toilet Scheme' disproportionately affects women, & especially disabled women. @WECILBristol & @BristolWV have come together to encourage businesses to help Read more👇 bristolpost.co.uk/news/brist…

It’s so strange to see Richard Eddy still chair of his planning committee after he and the mayor’s assistant appeared to collude with developers to get a planning decision through, subverting the process. youtube.com/live/jSQwg2a2ZPk… @AudreySuzanne we need a debate.

If you don’t want to see Bristol lose it’s last working farm and a site of nature conservation interest you can still submit objections on the planning portal➡️ pa.bristol.gov.uk/online-app…

Well done to the brilliant campaigners fighting for a decent, fair and objective decision on Broadwalk after being stitched up. Really shocking to hear @MarvinJRees praising the chair of the committee. Fed up of @BristolLabour siding with the Tories. #justiceforknowle
Amazing turnout tonight from Knowle. Once again showing BCC we're prepared to stand up and fight for what is right 💪

More incredible evidence of the strength of the Knowle and Totterdown local community inside and outside City Hall this afternoon. Standing up for a proper review of the Broadwalk planning scandal

An utter disgrace. A council who shouts about clean air but are happy to destroy the City’s last remaining farm so they can bury dead people….it’s obscene that we’re even having this discussion. Why would you destroy a living, breathing environment to bury dead things?

Our local councillor has been blocked by the mayor. Was this triggered by asking @MarvinJRees @BristolCouncil about the current substandard walking/cycling route by the derelict Grosvenor Hotel [adding #notgettingtheimportantstuffdone]? @Totterdown_ @TempleQuarter @SustransSouth
I’ve joined an esteemed group of Bristolians blocked by our own Mayor. Proud to be asking the awkward questions an opposition councillor should ask. Ironically I’ve just become Chair of Metro Mayor Scrutiny where probing questions is exactly the job description #blockedbymarvin

Eligible developers who do not join the The Responsible Actors Scheme & comply with its conditions will have planning & building control prohibitions imposed on them. At 18 Aug 2023, the list of registered members does not include Dandara gov.uk/government/publicatio… @nicolabeech

This is really important! The council ecologist’s comments for the crematory expansion on Yew Tree Farm were hidden until now and they don’t support what @CllrEllieking said in her email to the committee. This is huge that these comments were not included in the officer report!
Recently disclosed documents, which had been withheld, show that the South Bristol Cemetery expansion application must not be allowed as currently proposed. Here are our latest comments on this newly published evidence - bristoltreeforum.org/wp-cont…
