The mayor of London has officially opened the UK's first cinema dedicated to black and African filmmaking, in south London. The venue, in Nine Elms, brings together film, food, fashion, art and music under one roof, celebrating black culture and creativity.

"When people talk about the need for Black Excellence I counter with an insistence on Black mediocrity: the right for black people to be as average, flawed, compromised & mistaken as any other group of people. The right, ultimately, to be human." R.I.P. Jason Arday

@WCSACOxon @JacquiMckenzie6 @ukhomeoffice @WindrushPreston @Windrushlives @CliveFoster3 Bringing the International into the Conference. The Windrush years, its legacy, its reach and its historical significance to our UK cannot be underestimated. @DefendWindrush It is not a historical footnote. It is in fact, the lifeblood of our existence that drives the heartbeat of our nation.

In relation to heinous crimes of the past from the 1960s to 1980s, why are some UK citizens at risk of deportation whilst others never get prosecuted?

May I ask why the criminal justice system in our nation still operates to date in the 21st Century by applying distinctive rule of laws for UK citizens dependant on Race. #RaceRelationsAct1976 legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/197…

Was this form of poltical meddling not what was one of the causes that started the #WindrushScandal? @andyburnham @blackarchivesco

There is a profound danger that this form of legal manipulation of past laws is against the law and 'going back in time' to distort past historical Acts has devastating impiications.

Such laws from the 1971 Immigation Act also happen to protect the sanctity of rights for many Commonwealth/Windrush Generation Citizens. My Questiion to Parliament is this, do our nation's governments have the legal right to retrospectively change past laws?

@RhonddaBryant @ukhomeoffice Did anyone want to get back to me on this, please. Thank you.

Instead our Ministers seek to manipulate existing laws that can impact many law abiding citizens for the crimes of the few. - Neil Mukherjee.

We are actually capable to handle all UK criminals of the State irrespective of race so why does our UK government continue to engage in breaking the sanctity of nationality when justice needs to be served?

This is a problem that hits hard about our UK government breaking laws or manipulating past laws to provide justice. Our UK laws, over time contradict justice because our governments are overly eager to change valid laws that are capable to handle all criminals of the State.

Why do we seek to deport non-heritage, UK citizen criminals instead of providing justice and punishment here for these law breakers? Does this not demonstrate that nationality is meaningless and the type of justice is dependant on your race.

Why can't our nation handle British criminals or criminals who are UK residents of non-UK Heritage, whatever the degree of the crime, within UK laws, and provide justice and punishment here in the UK?
