Someone ask us what Winnipeg’s current budget for bike parking is, please, just ask, it will blow your mind. – at Winnipeg, Manitoba
Cities serious about growing cycling must treat bike parking with the same consideration as car parking.
Even with decent infrastructure, people will only choose the bicycle if they know a secure, convenient parking space exists at the end of their trip.

Keep signing that petition and tell your friends. Nine #OpenStreets streets will stay temporarily, but a motion by @Vivs4PDW to make sure this becomes a network so everyone has a healthy and safe option, seconded by the Chair @mathieuallard ended in a tie today. We’ll be back. ✊🏼 – at Winnipeg, Manitoba
Almost 8000 supporters and tomorrow we go to city hall with your demand to keep and expand open streets into a healthy active transport network. Catch us on @CBCManitoba bright & early tomorrow morning and on @City_tv with @mark_neufeld tonight at 6pm. change.org/p/keep-winnipeg-s…
