It was an honour to welcome Governor General Louise Arbour to the St. Boniface Museum, Winnipeg’s oldest building. During its 175th anniversary, the highlight of the event was watching her prepare the new Louis Riel display.

It was an honour to attend today's street naming ceremonies in the new Water Tower district, where two streets were officially inaugurated: Ibrahima Diallo Avenue and Paulette Duguay Street.

Paulette passed away recently, and it was deeply touching to have her daughter, Marie-France Mitchell, stand in her stead. It was wonderful celebrating these well-deserved recognitions alongside Ibrahima and the community.

It was a true honor to visit Action Margerite on Tuesday and present my platform to this wonderful group. Our seniors laid the foundation for our community, and ensuring our city remains an accessible, safe, and supportive place for them is a top priority for me.

Today at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, this passage from the Haudenosaunee Traditional Prayer of Thanksgiving resonated deeply with me.
