Calgary 1925 - love the street cars. The house on the hill is located in Mount Royal on Colborne Crescent near 12th Street SW (it and a few others are still there.)

Please do write in your support of speed reductions when you have a chance over the next few days (Oct 26th deadline), instructions in original tweet, below. #Team30 but at least #Team40.
Speed limits on neighbourhood roads could be changing.
On Nov. 2 there will be a public hearing to reduce the unposted speed limit in neighbourhoods to 40 km/h. Calgarians can put forth a written submission about this prosed bylaw until noon on Oct. 26: calgary.ca/publicsubmissions
Clearly if Calgary is building infrastructure like this, they have made an active choice to display #ZeroVisionYYC
When putting lights in on a road would we ever impact the path of travel for a car? No. So why do we not give pedestrians the same consideration? @yyctransport @cityofcalgary we need a change in attitude. All forms of travel are equally important.
How would you reimagine your street to make it slower, quieter and calmer for all?

Looking forward to @DonBraid’s next column on why cars are popular “but risky” and how #yyccc should finally fund its pedestrian strategy to make roads less dangerous for vulnerable pedestrians.

20mph limits are not just about protecting children you can see, but the ones you don't see. The parent you don't see refusing their child's wish to walk their streets, or the elderly fearful of traffic speed on their walk to the shops. Its why #20splenty where people are!

Replying to @Steve_Finkelman @TheCritninja
I have no objection to using the cameras as long as the money earned is used to fix design issues that lead to violations. Otherwise the ‘cash cow’ claim is completely legitimate.
