Praying someone inside tonight’s #AcademyMuseumGala will photograph Taylor Swift with John Carpenter (while he does his devil horns pose). A girl can dream!

#WildHorseNine: John Malkovich delivers all the goods in Martin McDonagh’s humorously acidic period piece. A genuine standout. Watch it for him; everything else is a bonus. For me, not quite on the same level as In Bruges, nor Banshees of Inisherin, but still good.

KEN RUSSELL’S THE DEVILS (restoration on 35mm): Absolute transcendence. Timeless, prescient & ballsy. The parallels to today’s Christofascists are sadly relevant. Nothing could’ve prepared me for that restored footage (good f*cking Lord 😳). The production design is God tier.

Tonight’s screening is a LOOONG time coming: KEN RUSSELL’S THE DEVILS in 35mm at the Aero. Excited to watch how this incredibly prescient was meant to be seen.

#Behemoth!: Look, there's always going to be one Searchlight movie about a man going through a midlife crisis, starring Will Arnett that I dislike. Only this one doesn’t have Bradley Cooper playing a guy named “Balls,” whose introduction is a bellyflop on a milk cartoon.

Paramount Pictures is taking over The Bay Theater in the Pacific Palisades. A damn shame. Netflix ran it perfectly. It had great food & drinks, comfy recliners and pristine projection. Staff was always super friendly. latimes.com/entertainment-ar…
