Engineering cool shit, replyguying is life. e/acc brings back 80's optimistic view about the future. Keep on Accelerating. Highly recommended: @gridnetproject

So, based on @_Stocko_ experiments I decided to revisit print-in-place bearings. I have some decent results with the geometry he used for rollers. What changed is that I used PETG to print tracks and PLA to print rollers, with 50 micron gap on each side of the roller. It runs decent but needs more rollers so they won't move around so much.

Everyone is doing some cool stuff so I figured I'll post some stuff as well. That is like day 3 of bulding adjustable coil winder - main body is there, adjustable roller guides are in place, now it's time for input spool holder with tensioner and a feed nozzle.

I have made a mistake of trying to watch Dailymotion on my tv via browser. 4 ads in 8 minutes was the limit, never again

A test I did a while back - no strain, just wave gearing with Nema 17 stepper inside. Is it useful? Probably not. And it makes some awful noise due to being 3d printed and with some plastic bb ball bearings that rattle inside. Looks cool tho.

I have been tinkering with some gearboxes and I came up with quite an interesting design - single stage, ring configuration (can be put on outrunner) and the same form factor for different ratios like 14.(3):1, 31.25:1, 50:1 etc. Any use case apart from robot arms? @__el__toro__

I've made a LoRaffe, Xiao LoRa/WiFi/BLE ESP32 module in printed amber giraffe. I gotta work on surface finish/print settings but I am pretty happy how the first print turned out so far. Now I will encase all my electronics in amber shells.

I have achieved amber resin prints, please disregard the wobbly shape of the sample, it detached from the supports mid-print. You might like that @ShimazuSystems

I made a drink, Arizona Scharf 1. Tall glass with 1/4 cubed ice 2. Pour in Jegermeister Scharf, like 80-100ml 3. Top up with @DrinkAriZona green tea honey 4. Squeeze in 1/4 lemon Shit is so tasty, sneaks up on you

Green PLA spring made from a printed rod, heated up and wrapped on orange ABS mandrel doodad. Works fine, will last a lot longer than a print-in-place spring shaped spring.

I am watching "handmaid's tale" now and damn that is the most tedious, boring and cringe-inducing show in a long while. Why that slop has 6 seasons is beyond me.

Back in the early 2000's we thought that buttons are shit and touch screens are The Shit. It turns out we had it all backwards from the start. @usgraphics

being loud in public has always been a sign of low intelligence and poor civilization
obsession with pro-noise cancellation and silence/headphones/no talking on speakerphone, watching videos etc in public is surely a fascist cultural victory. a sign of dark times ahead

I am trying to build a simple switch to turn USB power on and off. I think JK latch, click click and done. It's cheaper to buy a fuckin attiny9 than to buy a 4 logic gate latch. .50$ vs .70$ to be exact. And attiny is much smaller and handles more current. Sad
