Dear Indian developers working for remote startups, know your worth. Have a very clear understanding of your competence and be courageous enough to ask for compensation that translates to your competence and quality.
I see a lot of US-based founders (mostly of Indian origin, ironically) hire young Indian engineers as "junior devs" or "interns" and underpay the crap out of them. They think it's a clever strategy, and it might work for them but there is always an undertone of animosity and frustration in those teams. Often, they have a hire-fast-fire-fast culture, which great talent is averse to.
To those founders, best of luck for your next VC round, but you might have lost the plot broadly.
To Indian devs, let's collectively raise the bar. I understand that we come from myriad financial backgrounds, but letting others exploit you is a sin.
It's beautiful if you're working for the mission, but if you aren't, work for money.

This is a false equivalence. Everyone has the right to keep their code private. The problem is when someone tries to stop OTHERS from open sourcing.
Hey Zest, launching my B2B SaaS soon. Hit up my favorite X creators and get them to promote it. Appreciate it!!
Launching Zest, and it's so cool.
Zest *is* your workspace. Not a feature. An operator. Always there, managing campaigns, handling outreach, analyzing what's working.
Technically, it's the most interesting thing we've built. Lives in a sandbox, writes its own code to analyze your data, uses sub-agents for long trajectories. Builds campaigns with hundreds of creators in minutes instead of days.
While we were at it, we also redesigned our website and it's one of the most beautiful things you are gonna see this week

Creator-led GTM works. Scaling it hasn’t.
Until now.
🍋 Introducing Zest, the first AI agent for creator-led GTM.
From one prompt, Zest builds strategy, finds creators, runs outreach, manages campaigns, and turns results into clear next steps.
Modern GTM is creator-led. With Zest, it’s finally scalable.
If you’re not getting this Slack message from your CTO, are you even shipping? 🚀
