Excellent & timely tweet. A number I like to highlight to put "negative emissions" in perspective: Based on @IPCC_CH SR15 scenarios (ipcc.ch/sr15/), we are speaking here of at most 10% of present-day CO2 emissions. Only solution for the remaining 90% is going to zero.

Tl;dr on negative emissions: 🔬 Scientists say we “need” them because every bit of warming avoided matters. 🛑 This is not an excuse to delay cutting actual emissions as fast as possible. 🌲Trees are great, but have limits, risks, & drawbacks. 🏭 BECCS, DACC, etc:👇🏻

What do you expect for the #Georgia run-off turnout? I feel you can objectively say that these votes have more weight than the votes in the presidential election. On the other hand, run-offs normally have less turnout & primaries are also more important, but somehow few vote.
