“It’s easy to go and sit in the lab, and get good at science, but unless you can communicate that science there’s no point having done it.”
#MNDEnCouRageUK aims to give #MND #ALS early career researchers the skills to communicate their research to the people it matters most – people affected by the disease.

The next chapter of the story from the UNC13A cryptic exon discoveries in Nature 2022. Easily the most scientifically interesting therapeutic target we have right now.
We find TDP-43 loss to cause presynaptic defects, which are rescued by ASOs correcting a single cryptic exon in UNC13A.
Surprising effect of just one cryptic exon and promising strategy for ALS!
