Got you. It’s not perfect but if it’s a straw poll/Quick Look idea you’re after then the race cards stay on the site for a full day after racing so there is an opportunity to review things. The odds recorded on the cards are the last price matched on Betfair at official off time. (These odds update every 5 minutes from when they are posted and every 30 seconds in the 10 mins pre race). I’ve posted an example here which is one of the better ones from this evening with the highest value score (2nd top rated) getting the job done. Doesn’t always work out that well obviously 😉

Buzzing for the day’s racing today and quite happy with the look of the top rated horses at Ascot on our VB Ratings. Interesting one in the Balmoral with Persica obviously the class angle but carrying a crazy weight off 114 in a handicap. Toby Moore will be needing every pound of the allowance in this one I feel!

One ticked off the bucket list for the VBG….. midweek racing at Dunstall Park. Can’t wait for the floodlights to come on 😀

The Cesarewitch is always a fascinating puzzle and one that throws up some big prices. Our VBG Race Card has highlighted Saffie Osborne’s mount Premiere Ligne as an interesting contender, currently 30 on the machine and 20/1+ at books with plenty of extra places on offer. Joint 2nd on VB Ratings, with a tissue price of 9.3, and some impressive Data Centre scores, particularly for Course & Distance Fit and Beating Expectations (both 5/5). Looks a decent each-way proposition at those odds.

I’ve ran some filters on the VBG Bet Finder tool for York today and identified these three as value contenders. The tissue odds are where my ratings have the horse, current BF odds shown and the AltValue score gives an idea of the +EV for each selection. I’ll play My Love is King, Iron Stone Lad and Alfred Wincham as a sporting trixie.

Can’t be often that Moore and O’Brien team up for a 28/1 runner in an 8 runner Group 1. Fav obviously took a chick out the market but one of the best hindsight bad ew bets I’ve seen in a long time!

I’ve set the VBG Bet Finder filters for York to give me horses hitting the top three in my ratings with high +EV measured through our unique Alt Value scores. Basically 4 decent value plays at York this afternoon. Going to play them in an EW Lucky 15….
