After months of development, the Value Betting Guide is now available as an app on iOS and Android.
I’ve spent years developing my own approach to racing analysis, built around one principle: price the race first, then compare it to the market.
That’s the thinking behind VBG.
The app brings together my VB Ratings, interactive Race Cards, live exchange prices, Value Scores, Data Centre and Bet Finder, alongside daily racing analysis and selections.
It’s designed for racing enthusiasts who enjoy getting into the form, studying the numbers and finding their own betting opportunities.
And for now, it’s completely FREE while we build our first community of users.
I’d love people to give it a try, explore the tools and let me know what they think.

My preview and bets for today’s racing are now live on the VBG App and website. I’ve got three picked from a decent card at Newmarket and one on the AW this evening. There’s also a User Guide in the Magazine section explaining how to get the most out of our mobile apps which were launched this week. Links in bio for apps which are available on App Store and Google Play.

VBG on tour at Villa Park for a huge Champions League match 😀
They say it’s all inclusive at this hospitality bar. Gonna put that to the test!
Looking for some inspiration for some fun bets. If anyone knows what’s going to happen please share…..
I've put together a user guide for the new VBG app, covering the Race Cards, Ratings, Bet Finder, Saved Systems and VB Generator.
Most of it is fairly straightforward, but hopefully it'll be useful for anyone finding their feet or wanting to explore the tools a little further.

Where’s the smart money heading for PSG v Barca tonight? Got to be plenty of goals you’d think….. 🤷♂️
I’m not normally one for booming winners, however it was pleasing to see the nap Golden Muse (10/1 morning price) get the job done at Yarmouth earlier after launching the app and taking subscription walls down for a period. NB runs later on at Newcastle. The double would be nice…….
Two VB Bets for today, using the ratings, data and form in the Value Betting Guide.
We launched on the App Store and Google Play yesterday, and the service is completely free for an introductory period so more people can explore our systems and methods.
My preview shows how I use the ratings, data and value metrics to make my own betting decisions.

142 winners versus 27. Who would you call champion trainer?
There’s more to it, of course. Aidan O’Brien’s brilliance isn’t in question, but I reckon the way we decide the title deserves a rethink.
I’ve had a look at the figures in my latest VBG article. What do you think?

Buzzing for the day’s racing today and quite happy with the look of the top rated horses at Ascot on our VB Ratings. Interesting one in the Balmoral with Persica obviously the class angle but carrying a crazy weight off 114 in a handicap. Toby Moore will be needing every pound of the allowance in this one I feel!
One ticked off the bucket list for the VBG….. midweek racing at Dunstall Park. Can’t wait for the floodlights to come on 😀
The Cesarewitch is always a fascinating puzzle and one that throws up some big prices.
Our VBG Race Card has highlighted Saffie Osborne’s mount Premiere Ligne as an interesting contender, currently 30 on the machine and 20/1+ at books with plenty of extra places on offer.
Joint 2nd on VB Ratings, with a tissue price of 9.3, and some impressive Data Centre scores, particularly for Course & Distance Fit and Beating Expectations (both 5/5).
Looks a decent each-way proposition at those odds.
I’ve ran some filters on the VBG Bet Finder tool for York today and identified these three as value contenders. The tissue odds are where my ratings have the horse, current BF odds shown and the AltValue score gives an idea of the +EV for each selection.
I’ll play My Love is King, Iron Stone Lad and Alfred Wincham as a sporting trixie.
