Booked in to a meet & greet with Tank Abbott @wrestlecon while I’m in Vegas! My 2nd ever meet & greet with a wrestler after Bret Hart! As someone who loved Tank Abbott’s WCW run so much he did a podcast series on it (@UttTank btw), I am beyond excited to meet the man himself!
Tank Abbott has played knifey spoony before. #TankFacts
#OnThisDay in 2000: WCW SuperBrawl 2000 PPV. Tank Abbott defeated Big Al in a "leather jacket on a pole" match.
The bout is notorious for Tank post-match pulling a knife on Big Al threatening to kill him.
CLASSIC WCW.
It’s a common misconception that Tank Abbott doesn’t have a heart. He has many. Usually he has several per day. He calls it breakfast. #TankFacts
#OnThisDayInWWE 25 years ago on Nitro:
The new WCW Commissioner Kevin Nash sets some personal objectives for the talent:
Mike Tenay: "I'd like to give you a personality"
Brian Knobs:"A brain"
Tank Abbot: "A heart"
Norman Smiley: "Courage"
"Wait a second,I sound like Oz!"😂
Tank Abbott’s punches are so powerful even the wind off one can knock you out. #TankFacts
#OnThisDayInWWE 25 years ago at Souled Out 2000:
Tank Abbott KO's Jerry Flynn with "a solid punch" (that flies past his head)
And the crowd goes mild
A reminder that Vince Russo wanted Tank to win the vacant WCW Title on this PPV

As we get ready for season three of Un-putting The Territory following the only professional wrestling championship that changes hands by legitimate competition, here is a bonus episode covering Sammy Guevara cutting the Being The Elite belt in half

Tank Abbott isn’t allowed to participate in deathmatch tournaments as he’d take it literally and kill all his opponents with one punch.
