Organisers of the supporter-backed Unrepresented World Cup. #WeAreTheUnrepresented

Status of Unrepresented Sports Unrepresented Sports spent almost the entire 2026 calendar year in discussions and reviews with associations on how best to deliver unrepresented football opportunities for teams not wishing to be involved with the current landscape of football outside the world's primary governing body. While these conversations were always positive and reflected a desire for something new, the lack of resources available to both Unrepresented Sports and the teams left a gap between what was desired and what could be delivered on an ever-decreasing time frame. Unrepresented Sports does not intend to abandon its objective to deliver one of the most exciting unrepresented football tournaments in 2028, but acknowledges that the current landscape is not suitable for meeting that goal. Unrepresented Sports hopes to relaunch at a later date, under a new name and new faces, but at this time will be entering a hiatus until new energy is found. Our social media presence will remain active and interested individuals and parties are invited to express interest in what will hopefully come in 2027

You have won a 2-week, all-expenses-paid football trip in Europe. But there's a catch: you have to stay within one region the whole time. What are you picking?

Have you seen Marshall Island's 213 Club shirt unveiled last week? 212 representing their membership number if they were next to join FIFA
🇲🇭 In their bid to become FIFA's 212th member, the Marshall Islands have released their 212 Club Limited Edition 2026 Home Jersey x WOVN. The shirt features Marshallese tattooing motifs inspired by shark teeth, turtle shells, and driftwood. Other details include an oversized badge with the local name of the nation, M̧ajeļ, and the phrase "Aelon Kein Ad" (Our Islands) stitched on the collar.

If you could pick two unrepresented sides to meet in Bristol next summer, what's your lineup?
Replying to @DannySherms
But if any teams want to put themselves forward to play in a charity game in May next year near Bristol let me know. non-FIFA preferable, but will consider any sides.

Imagine a structure where the fans were the first to know, not the last? A supporter-backed Unrepresented World Cup would offer exactly that: greater transparency from those who own the competition, the fans, not private investors. Join our mailing list here: forms.cloud.microsoft/e/VHw3…
FIFA president Gianni Infantino did not inform the FIFA Council that he was soliciting investment proposals from outside investors to finance a proposed Under-15 ‘World Cup’ for children. Infantino held talks over the past year to commercialize an Under-15 festival inspired by baseball’s Little League World Series which would include all 211 FIFA nations. Under the plans, opening and closing ceremonies would have been held at Disney World resorts and ESPN was on board to broadcast the tournament in the United States. The Athletic can now reveal that the proposal had more than $250million of financial commitments from investors, despite Infantino not telling the Council that he was seeking external investment for the project. 📝 @AdamCrafton_ 🔗 nyti.ms/3SX5tfu

Creating a supporter-backed tournament will include questions about what stake fans will have in the supporter organisation and how much their annual membership fees will be to ensure it is sustainable and can effectively run the tournament organiser. Joining as a founding member will give you the largest say and influence on how this relationship between the two organisations will look. Want to hear about our supporter plan first? How many members would it take to deliver the first "supporter-backed World Cup"? To deliver a tournament to the standard Unrepresented Sports has been looking to achieve for 2028 after discussions with various teams this year, this would require 100s of members to sign up over 2 years. Doing so would raise over 50% of the funding needed, with the rest coming from ticket sales, sponsorship, and other sources. As a member, you could shape discussions and decisions to deliver a tournament by the fans, for the fans. Want to hear about our supporter plan first? Join here: forms.cloud.microsoft/e/VHw3…

How might it be structured? While the exact structure and arrangements will be part of the founding discussions, an indicative and illustrative diagram provides initial insight. Split between a supporter organisation and a tournament organiser. Supporters will form the members of the supporter organisation, responsible for owning the tournament organiser. The tournament organiser will have non-FIFA football associations as its members and be responsible for delivering the Unrepresented World Cup. Why separate? Separating supporters and FAs will enable the organisation to more easily separate powers, responsibilities and obligations, allowing both to operate more efficiently. This also allows the Supporters Organisation to sell its stake, in part or in full, should membership decide, without requiring a restructure of the tournament organiser. As part of its founding, supporters will be given the choice on whether their membership includes direct shares/equity in the organisation, each with a 1 person = 1 vote rule, or simply membership to the organisation. The FAs won't have this option, with the tournament organiser having non-owner membership split between different tiers with different voting rules. These differences would make a single organisation more complicated and harder to govern effectively, with reduced flexibility.

Fan ownership of teams has been a staple of sports, especially in a growing commercialised elandscape, but have supporters ever owned the tournament? After news of private equity getting a stake in the world's biggest competition came out this summer and the outcry it caused, is it time to consider a "fan-owned World Cup"? This is Unrepresented Sports' question to propose the first supporter-backed competition for international sides outside the world's governing body, and we are keen to hear the views of supporters! #WeAreTheUnrepresented

We invited a team to our east for our debut game, but what about a team to our west? What do you think @KernowFA? Fancy a game against your nearest opponents?
