Ukraine is one of the world’s great chess nations. Its remarkable tradition has produced generations of outstanding players and coaches. Even during an extraordinarily difficult time for the country, Ukrainian chess has remained strong and respected internationally. FIDE is a global organization, and it cannot operate in isolation from what is happening in the world. Ukraine should have its own voice in the room when decisions are discussed and made, and the opportunity to raise directly the issues that matter to its chess community. I would like to invite Ukraine to join our team and nominate its representative to serve as a FIDE Vice President if we are elected. @Podolyak_M, following our recent conversation, I would like to personally ask you to consider this proposal and help make Ukraine’s representation in FIDE’s leadership a reality.
