Got our gang together Friday night to say "so long" to longtime GRA Shayne Zaslow, headed to a new job in NYC, and to Zoe Robertson, who completed a rewarding year of "PhD+" internship at CSR. Bonus: some of us met in person for the first time after working on Zoom for a year!
64.7 percent of Charlottesville area residents have taken steps to CONSERVE WATER in the past 12 months. Most common method? 85 percent turn off the water when brushing their teeth. Much more about the issues from BeHeardCVA, CSR's regional survey panel.

Big news here for @UVA_CSR. We look forward to practicing "democracy in action" with our new partners!
The Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service is dedicated to serving the Commonwealth and its citizens. Soon we will become an even more important part of UVA’s growing focus on strengthening democracy, through an integration with the Karsh Institute.

These panelists did a great job in discussing the issues raised by the survey data CSR collected from a prob sample of Northern VA businesses.
Incredible insights were shared during this morning's @NOVAChamber event, Economic Outlook: The Future of Work. @NOVAPresKress led the panel with an optimistic overview and spoke to the benefits of #reskilling and #upskilling the NoVA #workforce. bit.ly/3XCILGH

@UVA just broke ground on its new hotel/conference center. We conducted the 2017 survey of conference organizers throughout the University that showed the huge unmet demand for better conference space here!

Please join us in congratulating our Survey Operations Manager, Sean Johnson, on winning the 2022 Tarnai Scholarship from @AASROorg for his accomplishments as an early-career survey researcher. Congrats, Sean, and we are so lucky to have you at CSR and @UVACooperCenter!
A Ukrainian research group conducted a stealth CATI survey of Russian adults and found some disturbing results. Russians express strong support for military action against neighboring countries in Eastern Europe. Not sure how to evaluate validity here.
