March Madness isn't just for basketball; it's also prime time for preventive apps for diseases like fairy ring, Pythium root dysfunction, and sting nematodes. It's easier to score layups now to get ahead than waiting for the Hail Mary threes in a curative comeback scenario!

CHECK THIS OUT: Man of Moeller Dean Gaier ‘07 will be piloting one of the two KC-135's flying over Great American Ballpark during the National Anthem on Opening Day. Dean told me this afternoon they will be honoring the Hit King Pete Rose by using the call signs "Hustle 1" and Hustle 4" for the jets on the radio. #TraditionLivesHere #GoBigMoe #GoRedLegs

Had the pleasure of visiting @Maritzamows earlier this week in St. Louis! Not only does she do an outstanding job at what she does, she is one of the kindest people I’ve met in this industry. I can’t thank her enough for all of the generosity and support she’s shown me!

2/7/25. Modified cart rule today. Holes 4,12,14&18 are path only. Other holes are 90 but please stay away from low lying areas and drains. We are wet. Reminder par 3’s are supposed to be path only as well.

The faster your green speeds are, the less interesting your greens can (generally) be. There used to be an artistry in golf greens, that was made possible by the green speeds of yesteryear. Greens < 11 can be fantastic & challenging whereas > 13 not so much. #GolfHistory

An ideal 2025 for golf includes: · More talented people pursuing turf as a second career · Pittsburgh experiencing a dry June and Oakmont playing as Henry Fownes intended · Owners making serious tech investments · Golf being the 1, 2 and 3 capital improvement focus at every club

Solid Halloween Chili. Used black and dark red beans, chopped brisket from a previous smoke, rotel, and tomato with some other special ingredients and it turned out great.

To think I was in left field with my mom, Aunt Vi, Nate, and my friend Dave when this happened. Wow. #RIPPete facebook.com/share/r/NavH1hL…

Brandon, thank you and all the Turfgrass professors around the country for giving us the information and research we need to make our courses great! Without your research (which we need more funding) we are lost.

As we wind down #ThankASuper Day, we encourage you to take a moment on any given day — not just today — to express your gratitude to your golf course superintendent.

I’m truly appreciative of the incredible work some many Superintendents do at their facilities to make it possible for all of us to play this great sport. A special thank you to all of you that have trusted me to play a small role in helping you do what you do! #ThankASuper
