Jason Grumet, CEO of @USCleanPower, told @kelseytam that he too is encouraged about “a commitment from the administration to return to the orderly process of approving onshore wind projects," deeming it a "welcome signal." But he said, "the details matter."
“The hard truth is that energy prices are going to go up a tremendous amount or just a lot,” @USCleanPower CEO @JasonGrumet tells @AmyAHarder.
The question is whether “we have smart policy that brings as much energy on the grid as possible that is sustainable over the long term." #AxiosHouse

During Day 1 of our Policymakers Symposium, @USCleanPower’s Jason Grumet laid out three things clean energy needs from Washington:
✅A level playing field on tax treatment.
✅Manufacturing incentives that bring production home.
✅The ability to actually build regional transmission.

With this summer's heatwave came a massive cooling demand that lead to price spikes and even the need to run inefficient gas and coal peaking units. But it didn't have to be that way. According to @USCleanPower, 74 GW of existing shovel-ready clean power projects - currently waiting to be deployed - could have saved consumers more than $170 million while strengthening reliability when electricity was needed most.
Just another reason we remain dedicated to powering what's next through our advanced solar and storage platform. We look forward to helping America turn those potential energy savings into a reality in the years to come.
