Great to meet with Danantara Indonesia CIO Pandu Sjahrir to discuss opportunities to deepen U.S.-Indonesia economic ties and expand investment in sectors critical to our shared prosperity. I look forward to continuing our work to unlock new opportunities for American businesses and strengthen our economic partnership. -MGD
At the @MilkenInstitute Global Forum, Assistant Secretary DeSombre highlighted the critical link between the United States and partners in the Indo-Pacific in building secure, resilient, and diversified supply chains and securing the minerals that power SI, advanced manufacturing, defense, and other industries of the future.
Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Seth Bailey visited
@atamerica , Jakarta’s premier American cultural center, to connect with U.S. alumni and share opportunities for Indonesians to experience U.S. innovation and entrepreneurship firsthand. 🇺🇸🇮🇩
Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Bailey joined Ambassador Kim @USMission2ASEAN in discussing with @ASEAN member states plus Australia, Japan, and the ROK the importance of confronting DPRK cyber theft, crypto crime, and illicit IT worker schemes in Southeast Asia. The regime's revenue-generating cyber operations threaten the security and economic integrity of the entire Indo-Pacific. This is exactly the kind of cooperation that keeps our region's digital economy safe. @AusAmbASEAN @amb_japan_asean @ROKASEAN1989
During his trip to Jakarta, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Bailey delivered U.S. policy insights on the Indo-Pacific and the future of U.S.-Indonesia relations to the next generation of Indonesian leaders at Georgetown University’s Asia Pacific branch in Jakarta.

Singapore is a key strategic partner for the United States in the Indo-Pacific, and my insightful discussion with Singapore’s Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Albert Chua underscored this point. We discussed advancing our technology security, civil nuclear energy, and Singapore’s vision for its ASEAN chair year in 2027.

President Trump welcomes President Xi Jinping, Madame Peng Liyuan, and the Chinese delegation to the White House to begin their State Visit, reciprocating the hospitality President Xi extended when he hosted President Trump in China earlier this year.

Pleased to meet with DFM Kun and congratulate him on Naoero’s decision to withdraw from the ICC. Naoero joins a growing number of nations standing up for their sovereignty against the ICC’s illegitimate overreach. As @SecRubio has stated, the United States will never surrender its sovereignty to an unaccountable global tribunal. We call on other ICC members to follow Naoero’s lead and withdraw from the Rome Statute. -MGD
