Good to see @UNLVGeoscience @unlv represented in b). Really big difference between total numbers (where we don’t appear because we are way below 400/yr) and the proportion of our students that are Hispanic/Latinx; why we are one of the most diverse universities in the US.

Wishing for a White Christmas? ❄️🌲
Well... too bad. You live in Las Vegas. *cries in desert*
Vegas has not measured snow on Xmas Day since records began (1937). BUT, it did flurry in 1941, 1988, 2008, & 2015. 😉
Shoutout to our Alaskan colleagues for the cool graphic!

ALT "White Christmas History for Las Vegas, Nevada". Image showing a legend. Evergreen conifer (Christmas tree undecorated) covered in snow means that year had a Christmas with over 3 inches of snow depth. Evergreen conifer with some snow on it means that year had a Christmas with between 1 and 3 inches of snow depth. Evergreen conifer with flakes means no snow on the ground, but it was snowing. Then an evergreen conifer with no snow meant that it did not snow that year. Years 1952 through 2021 in Las Vegas show evergreen conifers with no snow.
