Prime Minister Andy Burnham states that he does not support decriminalisation and believes policy is based on right foundations. We can only hope that the new prime minister will be open to discussion and assessing the evidence. mixmag.net/read/prime-minist… By @mmtowns

One of our big missions at Law Enforcement Action Partnership is the advancement of psychedelic treatments and the evidence around mental health and trauma utilizing the emerging evidence. Lieutenant Sarko Gergerian is at the forefront of these initiatives. He recently presented at the Arctic Visions Psychedelic Conference. Take a look at this small part of his work and follow LEAP for more information on our work.

They should still be with us. Like so many, we here at Law Enforcement Action Partnership (LEAP and LEAP UK) have been touched personally by overdose. When we commemorate this day, we truly remember and stand in solidarity. Today is #overdoseawarenessday2026

Hugely significant from the U.S. DEA, the infamous agency which near governs and enforces laws. It’s now on record: “The vast majority of individuals who use marijuana do so in a manner that does not result in dangers to themselves or to their communities.”
The DEA has said the quiet part loudly… We have seen a significant shift in attitudes and narratives. Law Enforcement Action Partnership has historically been a place where police voices can speak freely on dr*g policy and the many issues… Now the DEA acknowledges on record that the majority of people can use cann*bis without significant dangers to themselves and others.

A very interesting TEDx talk about the hypocrisy of our substance use in society. This speaks to the many frustrations that we all have. We have a substance use exceptionalism and this presentation does a wonderful job in putting it all into words. youtu.be/23w2nUdkrm4?is=Lr1T…
