Our amazing APD @vpfng teaching us how to place a transvenous pacer in our brand new sim center at @UAZMedTucson. Of course, the following week, one of our rockstar residents placed one on a brady trauma patient!
We love our new intern class! One special part of our program is that the entire intern class is in the ED in July! This gives us extra bonding time to do fun things like rock climb, pool parties, and happy hour with our new besties! ❤️ #EMBound #MedTwitter
Do pediatric airway emergencies scare you?! At our sim conference last week we managed a baby with bacterial tracheitis. Here’s a peek at what we did for our baby when intubation failed: jet ventilation. So grateful to be taught by our amazing peds airway expert @pacheco_garrett
After resident feedback, we revamped our curriculum to include one week EMS rotations during PGY-1 & PGY-3! During these rotations we participate in EMS, flight medicine, & prehospital care. You may even get to ride in our PERV (Physician Emergency Response Vehicle)… #EMBound
